Get Found <ul><li>Fill out your profile, all of it </li></ul><ul><li>“ Full View” public profile with custom URL </li></ul><ul><li>Include information for contacts to find you: companies, schools, associations </li></ul><ul><li>Add links to your website, blog, etc. </li></ul><ul><li>Ask colleagues to recommend you </li></ul>

Search names of your colleagues and learn about them. </li></ul>

Does it look like people are leaving? </li></ul><ul><li>Where are people with your skills working? What do they say about the industry? </li></ul><ul><li>Search on your competition: who’s on their team, who are their partners? </li></ul>

Get Answers, Help, Expert Advice <ul><li>Ask your network a question </li></ul><ul><li>Search for information on Answers: use LinkedIn to contact those with expertise </li></ul><ul><li>Post a question to Answers (make sure it’s not been answered first) </li></ul><ul><li>Research: find people in your network on in Answers or Groups to interview </li></ul>

Find a Job <ul><li>Use LinkedIn Jobs for postings </li></ul><ul><li>Get a connection to a hiring manager </li></ul><ul><li>Use LinkedIn Toolbar for searching, and JobsInsider to find connections to job postings </li></ul><ul><li>Search for recruiters in your area of expertise - better yet, find a connex to them </li></ul><ul><li>Follow Visibility tips </li></ul>
