  10. 10. Volunteers Delivering for Basics Bank Collecting food from the Basics Bank to deliver to people’s homes
  11. 11. “You have done a fantastic job, not sure what we would have done without you, Jackie has been brilliant in getting volunteers to the right place at the right time.” Eastleigh Basic Bank “One of my service users was very uplifted before Christmas by a visit from one of your volunteers dressed as Father Christmas.   12. 12. Shopping Dial-A-Ride drivers moved from carrying people to carrying food!
  13. 13. “If it wasn’t for Dial-A-Ride us passengers would have starved to death.” “Thank you for the help you have given my parents over the years. It is an essential service and makes their lives so much easier. At the moment changing from a transport to a delivery service has been a lifeline. Thanks.”
  14. 14. Easter during Covid People were very generous in donating Easter Eggs for our Young Carers
  15. 15. It was vital to keep in touch Promoting telephone companionship The Mayor of Fareham took time out to phone clients and volunteers

  18. 18. Support to Young Carers carried on Volunteers helped deliver activity packs to Young Carers so they could join in at home
  19. 19. “It has been a pleasure to help over the last year. It has given me satisfaction, pleasure and a real sense of actually doing something worthwhile.” “You do an amazing job and I feel very privileged that I have been able to support my community in this way.” “It’s been a pleasure volunteering for One Community.   31. 31. Our Community Christmas Tree display still happened At the museum and on line we had a virtual display, just two of the imaginative entries: Dentaid and Street Pastors
  32. 32. Pancake day Young Carers learnt new skills via zoom
  33. 33. Direct Covid Support We were asked to establish a testing centre in Fareham
  34. 34. “During my conversation with other councils who are pulling together their test centres, I am encouraged that we don’t have any staffing issues as many others do with staffing their sites. The director of Public Health’s office at Hampshire County council has been reassured throughout by the fact we are working with One Community, who have taken the load off by doing all volunteer recruitment, references and code of conduct. They have also compiled all the rotas and support the volunteers on site, this has helped massively in getting the Fareham project approved.” Head of Environmental Health Fareham and Gosport, re Fareham Rapid Flow Test Centre

  37. 37. Fareham Lottery started in March 2021 Over 65 local groups are now benefitting
  38. 38. Fareham Information Centre Re-opened in July 2020. Our craft volunteers made hundreds of masks for customers for a minimum donation of £1. Loads went out the door.
