Privacy and Social Networking<br />Cliqcloud is a social network that provides for total privacy from both other users as well as advertisers.<br />Current social networking is based around an open framework that people can be uncomfortable with. We provide an interface to easily balance private and open communication.<br />Instead of confusing options and settings we use an integrated privacy option for every message that by default is set to max privacy. Every message sent is only viewable by the intended audience and cannot be forwarded.<br />Additionally the messages and posts are not indexed for web searches and we do not data mine our customers.<br />

Not just another network<br />A major concern for new networks is generating enough users to be viable<br />Cliqcloud integrates existing Facebook, Twitter and Linked In profiles so users do not have to recreate their social networks. As soon as you join Cliqcloud you can immediately communicate privately with all of your existing friends.<br />In order to respond privately your friends will need to join Cliqcloud – providing the network effect to grow our user base.<br />Cliqcloud provides the capabilities of Google+, the user base of Facebook, the simplicity of Twitter and the privacy only available with Cliqcloud.<br />

Why privacy?<br />According to our market research the two most desirable features in a new social network are:<br />The ability to protect your online privacy from advertisers (72.2% desirable or very desirable)<br />The ability to send private messages or photos that are not able to be forwarded or shared (68.8% desirable or very desirable)<br />As users have become more aware of the potential for unintended public posts and the ability of advertisers to invade their privacy, the desire for an option has increased.<br />Our research has also indicated a willingness to pay an average monthly fee of $2.30 to provide this privacy – significantly higher than the potential per user advertising revenue<br />

The Business Model<br />Our revenue is generated from a combination of banner advertising and user subscription fees.<br />Privacy is a service no different than any other and consumer awareness is growing to support a low cost pay model for this.<br />The basic service will initially be free and allow for a larger user base for advertising purposes. After initial year rollout a low yearly charge of $5 will be added to maintain private networking<br />An upgraded service that will allows for additional peer to peer sharing and online storage will be available for a monthly fee of $3.<br />Mobile application will be made available for $1 in both Android and Apple Store<br />

Potential Competition<br />We are not direct competitors with Facebook or Twitter – we supplement their service.<br />Cliqcloud uses the existing network of sites like Facebook similar to the way you would use a phone book; as a searchable database of friends and messages.<br />To communicate our users will use the Cliqcloud interface in order to leverage the privacy available, but can still interact with those only on Facebook.<br />Migrating to Cliqcloud will allows users to share privately more efficiently with other Cliqcloud users. <br />There are currently no sites that leverage other networks while providing privacy.<br />Stand alone private networks such as Glassboard and Groupme offer some privacy but not from advertisers.<br />
