HO Wan Leng, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Consulting Officer of Optimal
Wan Leng brings more than two decades of educational, consulting and corporate human resources
experience. She has demonstrated an outstanding record of achievement by delivering impressive
bottom-line results for multinational organisations, in both consulting and corporate leadership capacities.
Wan Leng bolstered her consulting capabilities through previous roles at two leading international
consultancy firms. Thereafter, she widened her scope with key regional and global roles in leading
corporations – first as an Asia Pacific Regional Director of HR Operations at a Fortune 100 multinational
organisation and then as a Global Vice President of Compensation, Benefits, HRIS at a global shipping and
logistics corporation.
Wan Leng brings in-depth expertise on the current best practices in HR design, systems, programmes and
technology, along with hands-on experience of leading both regional and global HR operations. Her
breath and depth of understanding of contemporary management and organisational behaviour
enables her to bring unique perspective to a broad range of human capital-related issues.
Wan Leng’s aspiration is to build the future leaders for Asia’s social, economic and political roles. To date,

Wee Ping gained firm foundational and breadth of consulting experience with a leading HR
Consulting firm where she was involved in projects of varying scale and complexity.
In a strategic crossover to a global shipping and logistics organisation to acquire corporate
exposure, she was appointed Global Compensation & Benefits Specialist, reporting directly to the
Vice President, Global Compensation, Benefits and HRIS. The coverage of her responsibilities
exposed her to critical knowledge and experience in human resource, particularly in grounding
herself on the intricacies in aligning corporate and national cultures with the global systems and
programmes she was assigned to work on. She gained valuable experience on several global HR
initiatives in reward structures, share option plan, performance management system, incentive
bonus plans, and management trainee re-location programmes. She managed projects on the
imperative global compensation data.
In the consulting arena, Wee Ping has hands-on experience in the development of the eRewards,
a web-based solution that replaces time-consuming spreadsheet approach to managing
performance-based salary review and bonus planning processes. The dual pillars of her software
application and corporate workflow processes enabled her to translate business needs into
efficient, cost-saving solutions for clients. This capability grew from over years in the design,
implementation and communication of compensation and rewards systems and structures for
companies in various industries.
For the past 10 years with Optimal, Wee Ping has grown her expertise in talent assessment and
development where she has been involved in regional projects. She has provided feedback and
assessed more a thousand talents and leaders of Fortune 500 companies around the globe, across
nationalities and cultures. She has spearheaded major high-potential, leadership and talent
assessment and development for selection and succession purposes. Leaders’ trust in her
assessment capabilities has increased tremendously through the years, and she has earned herself
great credibility amongst corporate clients. To date, she has certified hundreds of Hogan
Assessment Systems users.
Wee Ping is fluent in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia, and has basic level in
Putonghua, Cantonese, Hokkien and Hakka.
WONG Phik Kuan Ginny, Managing Director, Consulting and Client

Ginny is a lawyer by training. She left the profession to join a large international consulting company.
Ginny has almost two decades of experiences in legal, project management and consulting.
Within a decade since starting her career, Ginny has garnered an impressive range and depth of
experience that spans project management, operational and business process management as
well as systems integration to organisational & human performance. These were acquired through
her roles within both the corporate and consulting arenas.
As a project manager, Ginny was instrumental in rolling out the Sales Force Automation software
regionally within 18 months, providing a comprehensive picture of over 300,000 customers as a
result. As the Operations Manager of a contact centre, she designed and implemented the Human
Resource Planning and Continued Improvement initiatives. As a Senior Consultant with a large
international consulting company, she had hands-on experience in establishing processes and
enforcing the standardisation of the Service Level Agreements, Key Performance Indicators,
organisational structure and compensation scheme.
As the Principal Consultant of Optimal Partnership Consultants Sdn Bhd, Ginny manages key
accounts in Malaysia – from business development, client relationship management, project
management to project delivery. To date, she has conducted more than 500 assessments and
feedback for selection and succession. She has also been involved in Human Resource Strategy
projects in the areas of talent sourcing and outlook, establishing offshore HR operations,
competency levelling and mentoring. She is a key contributor to the creation of OPTIMAL e360.
Ginny is the Emotional Competence Capabilities lead for Asia. Her aspiration is to build emotionally
competence leaders in Asia for a better workplace and better world.
