Yet, there are people who think outside the classic pet choice box and opt for other quite odd domestic companions. Some of them are quite difficult to keep, see for yourself.
  3. 3. 1.Sugar Gliders This tiny Australian handful of cuteness makes a great pet, not only because it's absolutely adorable, but because forms a strong bond with its human family. They're omnivores, which means they eat almost anything. However, you could feed them with fresh fruit and vegetables.
  4. 4. 2.Fennec Fox Fennecs should not be mistaken for domestic animals. They're independent and energetic and yet cuddly. They can be enjoyed by the whole family, as they're very playful.
  5. 5. 3.Squirrels These little rodents have been considered pests for a while, but are now pets to a lot of people. Naturally they look all fluffy and cuddly, but they won't be a typical pet.
