Media
Response
For our final written response task we will be looking
deeply into News Media.
This task will be broken into several lesson topics:
- Immediacy & Global Access
- Citizen Journalism
- Selection processes
- Controls and Constraints in Journalistic Media
Your response task will be in the form of an extended
response, based on the NEW format of Media
Examinations. (Which we will discuss further today)
We will be sitting this assessment eitherTuesday or
Friday ofWeek 2.

choice of 5 (still worth 30%)
No longer are you given stimulus
material. Furthermore, you do not
have to reference given material.You
will be expected to provide evidence
from texts you have studied
throughout the course, or your own
experience.

Questions are now presented in a
slightly different format where
marks are distributed in the
following fashion.
From discussions with colleagues and
other media teachers, it is still
recommended that you write a full
response, and not try to break it up into
this format. (e.g. 4 separate paragraphs)

We will conduct a quick class brainstorm to begin to
formulate ideas on this topic.
Our Task question is:
Producers of media texts are impacted
by various controls and constraints.
We will create the start of a KWL chart.
