2. Taking Risks
The world is built by those who take risks - pioneers who are not afraid of the unknown,
business people who are not afraid of failure, thinkers who are not afraid
of progress, and dreamers who are not afraid of putting their dreams into action.
Process Over Outcomes
The most successful and happy people are focused on the process,
rather than the outcome. Their focus is not on what they’ll get as a result,
but on how they can get lost in the journey of their passion.
PRINCIPLE 1:

3. PRINCIPLE 2:
“In the morning, when you can’t get out of bed, tell yourself I’m getting up
to do the work only I can do. How can I possibly hesitate or complain
when I’m about to accomplish the task for which I was born?’”

Jackie Robinson loved baseball and believed people of
color should be able to play. Despite threats on his life,
he used his WHY to change the world.

4. PRINCIPLE 3:
“Anything is possible if you have enough nerve.”

Our culture forgets to recognize that the world’s biggest success stories were first “failures”.
JK Rowling was so poor all she had was a typewriter and an idea; Oprah Winfrey was told she was “unfit for
television; Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team and missed 26 game winning
shots during his career. He says, “I have failed over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

5. Before changing the world, Walt Disney was fired from a newspaper for “lacking imagination.”
Decca Recording Studios rejected The Beatles saying, “they have no future in show business.” Albert
Einstein couldn’t read till he was seven. Elvis Presley was told by one of Nashville’s top concert managers
that he was better off being a truck driver than a musician.

6. PRINCIPLE 4:
“If we wait until we’re ready, we’ll be waiting for the rest of our lives.”

Quit waiting… for the perfect day… to share your gifts with
the world… to reach your goals… to live happier… to find your
purpose… for the money to come to you… to make a difference.
As Vincent Van Gogh once said,
“If you hear a voice within you say ‘you cannot paint,’
then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.”

7. PRINCIPLE 5:
“If you don’t get up every morning with a burning desire to do things—you don’t have enough goals.”

The purpose of a goal is who you become in the process, not what you get out of it.
This won’t be easy, but try to write down:
30 things you want to be.
30 things you want to have.
30 things you want to do.

8. PRINCIPLE 6:
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

don’t leap to the conclusion that it is humanly impossible; but
if the work can and should be done by someone, then

9. PRINCIPLE 7: CONFIDENCE
“You are very powerful, provided you know how powerful you are.”

The interviewer said to Jay-Z, ‘Why you? Why did you
get to experience this success?’
Jay-Z’s response was something along the lines of,
“Because I look at Leonardo da Vinci and I believe
that I can create my own great works of art. No one
does that today…” We are scared to share our gifts
with the world. Just believe in yourself.

10. PRINCIPLE 8: PERSISTENCE
“The most interesting thing about a postage stamp is the persistence with which it sticks to its job.”

“Every great difference maker, artist, author, businessperson, and thinker was none of these things when they began.”

They became these things by never quitting on their visions.
Dave Matthews, one of the best selling top-grossing artists in the world had to sell albums out of the trunk of his car for
years until they made it big. As an adult Abe Lincoln went bankrupt. Then he lost many elections before becoming
President of the United States. One of the greatest painters ever, Van Gogh only sold one painting in his life.

11. PRINCIPLE 9: CONSISTENCY
Contrary to how the media portrays it, your dreams don’t happen overnight
Will Smith says, “There’s a difference between talent and skill.
Talent is something that you have naturally, but it will fail you if you
aren’t skilled. You must spend hours and hours working on your
craft.”

12. PRINCIPLE 10: ACCUMULATION AND
“We cannot teach people anything. We can only help them discover it within themselves.”

Do not give up your vision to obey popular trends and opinions. Be a visionary.
Be an innovator. Don’t be a follower. Create what’s within you.

Advertising today tries to convince us we are not good enough.
The truth is that you’re smart enough, good-looking enough,
and deserving enough for your dreams.
Beauty is not based on whether or not you have a six-pack or the perfect butt or
boobs. We all know there are tons of people who’ve changed the world
and lived wonderful lives who don’t fit that stereotype.
Look within yourself to find beauty, your spirit will whisper your gifts.
Listen to that voice– share those gifts with the world. !
