  1. 1. WHAT IS A PARADIGM? • Paradigms are a set of social (or scientific) universally accepted rules that provides models of problems and solutions to a scientific community. • Theories or models to explain realities.
  2. 2. WHAT ARE THE PARADIGMS FOR? 1. Act as guides to indicate important problems and questions in a research. 2. Develop schemes (models and theories) that allow those problems to be solved. 3. Establish criteria for the use of appropriate tools (it means, methodologies, tools and instruments) in a research.
