Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary field
of engineering that includes a
combination of systems, mechanical,
electrical, telecommunications, control
engineering and computer engineering.
Mechatronics
Principles
Mechatronics deals with robotics, control
systems, and electro-mechanical
systems.
And We Have 4 Main Aspects That
We Can Talk About For Applied
Mechatronics.
Electronics
Mechatronics: Electronics in Products and Processes identifies the
concepts which underpin the mechatronic approach to engineering design
and brings together its principle components -sensors and transducers,
embedded microprocessors, actuators and drives
Microcontrollers/PLC
PLC stands for Programmable Logic Controller. They
are industrial computers used to control different
electro-mechanical processes for use in
manufacturing, plants, or other automation
environments. PLCs vary in size and form factors.
Mechanics/Hydraulics
Mechanics is the branch of Physics dealing
with the study of motion when subjected to
forces or displacements, and the subsequent
effects of the bodies on their environment.
Same Applies For Hydraulics, as we
use physics on pressurized fluid, for
heavy equipment and so on….
Computer Programming
Computer programming is the process of writing code to facilitate specific
actions in a computer, application or software program, and instructs them on
how to perform.
We use it in the Mechatronics Field To control Electrical boards, circuits, integrated
circuits, and other advanced technology that uses the nano system.
A mechatronics engineer unites the
principles of mechanics, electrical,
electronics, and computing to generate a
simpler, more economical and reliable
system.
Design and manufacture of products
and systems possessing both a
mechanical functionality and an
integrated algorithmic control.
The word mechatronics originated
in Japanese-English and was
created by Tetsuro Mori, an
engineer of Yaskawa Electric Corporation
Smart System!
1. Mechanical System at the core
2. Electronics brings efficiency and
reliability
3. Control systems bring accuracy and
speed
4. hardware and software brings
functionality and versatility
Any mechatronic application will
require cabling. In practice, a cable
can be used for two different
purposes, to carry power or signal.
At first, the designer should know
the operating voltage and current
as well as maximum allowed
voltage and current for the surge
duration.
