1. Disabled Veterans Committee on Housing 1st Special Adapted Home 147 Duwamish Trail, Winchester, Va By R. L. Seely Homes, LLC Richard Seely Jr., Builder
65. This veteran can utilize this ramp in an emergency right off the Master’s suite to the outside
66. The outside area is cleared to install the grass seed, but as you will see later the veteran selected to go with sod installation
67. If steps are needed the builder is responsible for a straight white concrete, but the veteran selected to have a different installation as you will see shortly
68. This was the color just after application, and then when dried and sealed the pattern will takes effect
69. The builder works with a concrete designer for this pattern, but the veteran has to allow for this at time of financing
71. If you remember I said that the builder is required to apply grass seed, but this veterans wanted a instant lawn with the sod
72. So after the family planted the flowers they wanted, then the sod clearing takes place
73. All the ground has been stripped of weeds and debris and then adds top soil for the sod to grip onto and then as you will see the sod has arrived and ready for installation
75. The area looks well enough and the sod is delivered for it to be laid
76. The sod has arrived and will be set into place the next day.
77. Bright and early the next day the workers are hard at the sod installation
78. One of the added features for a country home is a propane powered generator for the veteran , but we prefer them to be in all homes where our veteran swill live
79. As you see the workers are just making sure they have the perfect fit for the lawn to be maintain for years
81. We want our veterans to have all they require to feel really good about the home and themselves
82. Here is Clay Hatcher and the veterans wife examine the finished project to make sure it is done right, the owner wants the veteran to be happy
83. Clay Hatcher the President and Owner of Premier Turf Farm make the inspections personally as his name is one this and he want no mistakes
84. As you can see the owner’s wife has the flowers planted already, as they want the home ready
85. This was the Dedication of the Disabled Veterans Committee’s on Housing new office – dedicated by Veteran on October 8, 2009
86. Our Summary of Comments on R. L. Seely Homes, LLC The 1st Special Adapted Home that was built by this Disabled Veteran Committee on Housing Builder in the Winchester area, and people have remarked how they loved the design, the layout of the home, that it will suit the veteran needs and that they wish they know this builder when they had their home built, so I can say that Rich Seely has the veteran needs at heart in his design and goes the extra mile to make the veteran feel their independence, and that’s the goal of the DVCH mission to make the home accessible, affordable and independent for the veteran.
