Internet search engines are a tool
designed to search for information on
the world wide web.
A Search Engine creates a customized
list of Internet sites containing
information on a search topic by
utilizing computer programs known as
robots or spiders to search for your
keywords on Web pages.
Though most search engines use this
technology they will produce different
results according to how the robots
work and the different types of search
criteria allowed. For best results, search
more than one search engine.

There are heaps of other search engines on
the internet that anyone could use however it
seems that Google and Yahoo! are the two
most popular people will use.
Google basically searches for websites that contain
the search topic but it’s not always the specific topic.
It will take every word listed and then find websites
containing those words or group of words.
The technology behind Google search technology is a
pigeon rank, a system for ranking web pages
developed by Google founders Larry Page and Sergey
Brin at Stanford University.
