Last year, we set out to make the first truly interactive ebook in Canada. We embraced epub3 as it is the most powerful cross-platform format available at the moment.

We love books and believe that epub3 is the first format that allows content creators and book publishers to truly offer superior value to their customers.

We do not believe that this will make the cut. Consumers have the choice between print & digital editions. In order to increase adoption and price point, we need to fully develop digital’s potential and provide a clearly superior value.

Defining a digital edition that truly has added value over the print edition was a design challenge. It required us to understand how people read and consume content in order to provide an exceptional reading experience that is truly superior to the print edition.
