»Software application enabling institutions to record and report
on data relating to the publication of Open Access outputs by
their academics
› The first version of the prototype built on the Jisc APC data being
collected by Jisc – monitoring costs of publication.
› Next phase to focus on other reporting requirements such as -
monitoring compliance and publication.
› Developments done with strong community collaboration –
opportunity to get involved in the early stages.

8. SHERPA/REF
»HEFCE is working with Jisc to develop this service
• Support authors and institutions in meeting the new open access
(OA) requirements of the post-2014 Research Excellence
Framework (REF)
• Builds on the current portfolio of SHERPA services
• help authors and institutions ascertain whether a journal allows
them to comply with the REF policy, and what to do when it does
not
• December – release of pilot system for user feedback
• Aim for beta release in January 2016.
