What’s New: Focus on FE (JISC Lead: Mark Williams) <ul><li>Institutional Support Programme: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Direct installation of IdP software within an institution by an external provider. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Support Contract Awarded to Cardiff (Rhys Smith) and Kidderminster College (Graham Mason). </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>All institutions are eligible to bid, although those with a good case for lack of internal effort will be given priority. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Applications still be accepted. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Netskills training places now fully subsidised. </li></ul>

What’s New: Focus on Publishers (JISC Lead: Jane Charlton) <ul><li>Successful meetings with most of the major publishers in the UK. </li></ul><ul><li>Single major concern is Blackwells / Wiley. </li></ul><ul><li>Work to better to develop interfaces / user experience. </li></ul><ul><li>Grants in place for small publishers. </li></ul>

What’s New: Focus on Libraries (JISC Lead: Masha Garibyan) <ul><li>Focus on understanding terms and conditions of licenses, and current access routes for all resources within libraries. </li></ul><ul><li>Support for understanding attributes. </li></ul><ul><li>User experience: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Working with publishers on presentation to users through interfaces like the JSTOR WAYF or using ‘institutional log-in’ as a generic log-in term. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Transfer of personalisation data to federated accounts. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>New mailing list for librarians shortly be announced. </li></ul><ul><li>New briefing paper for libraries to be released in January. </li></ul><ul><li>Work to help understand the wider uses of federated access. </li></ul><ul><li>Work to register with Service Providers. </li></ul>
