The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) recently expanded its TrustedTraveler program, known as Pre-Check, to Servicemembers flying out of St. Louis (STL)and Denver (DEN) International airports. Additionally, the program will beimplemented at Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) by the end of March2013. The highly successful TSA Pre-Check program is currently available at:- Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT)- Dulles International Airport (IAD)- Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL)- Honolulu International (HNL)- Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)- Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) Servicemembers, active drilling Reservists, National Guardsmen, and members ofthe Coast Guard, who present a valid Common Access Card (CAC) at securitycheckpoints will receive expedited security screening. Eligible Servicemembers do notneed to be on official travel or in uniform to take advantage of TSA Pre-Check. Familymembers ages 12 and under traveling with an eligible member can also process throughexpedited screening. While this program offers expedited screening forServicemembers, TSA plans to continue applying random and unpredictable screeningmeasures as part of the agencys layered approach to prevent terrorist from "gaming"the system.NEW – Defense Acquisition University (DAU) will host a Hot TopicTraining Forum The Defense Acquisition University (DAU) will host a Hot Topic Training Forum onTuesday, April 9 at its Fort Belvoir campus (Scott Hall). The theme this year is: “BetterBuying Power Training to Meet Defense Acquisition Challenges.” The event offersclassroom training sessions tied to the Better Buying Power 2.0 initiatives.
