THE WHITE HOUSEOffice of the Press SecretaryFor Immediate Release March 1, 2013SEQUESTRATION ORDER FOR FISCAL YEAR 2013 PURSUANTTO SECTION 251A OF THE BALANCED BUDGET ANDEMERGENCY DEFICIT CONTROL ACT, AS AMENDEDBy the authority vested in me as President by the lawsof the United States of America, and in accordance withsection 251A of the Balanced Budget and Emergency DeficitControl Act, as amended (the "Act"), 2 U.S.C. 901a, I herebyorder that budgetary resources in each non-exempt budget accountbe reduced by the amount calculated by the Office of Managementand Budget in its report to the Congress of March 1, 2013.Pursuant to sections 250(c)(6), 251A, and 255(e) of theAct, budgetary resources subject to sequestration shall be newbudget authority, unobligated balances of defense functionaccounts carried over from prior fiscal years, direct spendingauthority, and obligation limitations.All sequestrations shall be made in strict accordance withthe requirements of section 251A of the Act and thespecifications of the Office of Management and Budgets reportof March 1, 2013, prepared pursuant to section 251A(11) of theAct.BARACK OBAMATHE WHITE HOUSE,March 1, 2013.# # #
