Their partnershipbegan a couple of years earlier when they built “boxes” (computers)to make long distance calls for free. They started the company usingthe $1,300 they collected by selling their van and two calculators.They called their company Apple Computer Inc. at the time, thoughthe name eventually changed to Apple Inc. in 2007, as their productsbegan to vary.
