Takeaways from branding and design systems | WIAD Berlin 2020

Download to read offline

Two weeks ago I gave a new talk at World Information Day Berlin. It’s a list of 6 steps that will help you to kickstart the product design system that will stand out on the market and resonate with your audiences emotionally:
1. Dig deeper into the brand/company values.
2. Research the stackeholders’ portrait and their emotional space.
3. Define the brand personality.
4. Create the brand moodboard.
5. “Translate” steps 2-3 into the visual language of shapes, colors, typography and rhythms.
6. Design few primary touchpoints on the onboarding customer journey to get the first set of patterns and elements for your design system.

I really loved giving this talk. (And, appreciate that WIAD Berlin team invited me this year - didn’t expect branding topic to be a closing keynote!). There is no video available, and still hope you’ll find slides helpful.
Please share it with anybody you think could use it.
