This is a unique turnkey opportunity to own a Uruguay olive farm with two homes and complete farm facilities home near the town of Minas in the Department of Lavalleja.

The 108-acre (44-hectare) farm is located in one of Uruguay's best regions for olive production given the native soil quality, the rolling terrain of the Lavalleja sierras and excellent water resources.

The farm has 5,000 olive trees of which 3,000 were brought over from Israel and are now seven years old...near-peak maturity for olive trees. There are another 500 six-year-old trees also from Israel which produce "aceitunas de mesa" (table olives). The other 1,500 olive trees are almost two-years-old and were all derived from our finest mature trees, so they are already perfectly suited for the local climate.

The farm produced over 6,000 liters of Extra Virgin olive oil in 2012, a figure that will increase this year as more trees begin to reach maturity. The olive oils produced on this farm won 2011 and 2012 Gold Medals at the prestigious Mendoza Olive Oil Exposition, Expoliva. Only 20 olive oils received this award out of 140 entrants from Argentina, Uruguay, Spain and other countries.

Beyond the olive acreage, the remainder of the farm is divided into 5 large fields. One of the fields has 100 head of cattle including breeding cows, calves and steers, an operation which generates additional rental income for the owner. Aberdeen Angus are being inseminated with Wagyu, and the farm sells approximately 30 steers annually.

The farm's location is ideal with 900 meters of frontage directly on Route 8, a major corridor which runs south to Montevideo and north to the Brazilian border. Just down the road is the famous Parque Salus, an important natural tourist attraction and the most important source of bottled water in Uruguay. ( http://www.salus.com.uy/parquesalus/ ) The farm is perfectly nestled between Punta del Este (60 miles) and Montevideo International Airport (60 miles).

This farm features two homes, one for the owner and one for the caretaker, storage sheds and all farm equipment for managing the olive and cattle breeding operations. The corporation and Gold Medal-winning olive oil brand under which the farm's production is marketed and sold is also included in the purchase price.

Price: US$880,000
