The dome is more than 44 feet high, about four stories. Intel Studios sends captured volumetric content over 5 miles of fiber- optic cable to more than 90 Intel-powered servers that can crunch over 1 terabyte of data every 10 seconds. Each of the studio’s 96 high-resolution 5K cameras captures action in two dimensions and algorithms convert those trillions of pixels into a 360-degree, 3D virtual environment.

  16. 16. Intel Confidential Visual Technologies Team Driving Best-in-class in everything we do INTEL STUDIOS AT CANNES XR Intel Studios premiered their first multi-user AR experience at Cannes XR, highlighting the longest one-shot, volumetric video sequence they ever produced (2 ½ mins)! In collaboration with Paramount Pictures and original Grease director Randal Kleiser, this experience immersed the audience in interactive song and dance to unleash the possibilities of volumetric storytelling. Kudos to the team on this great achievement, helping to position Intel Sports as the leader in immersive media experiences across key segments. Experience it for yourself. Intel Business social broadcasted the One Intel message, where we told the story of Intel’s “data entertainment” mission from content creation to consumption. This was a very successful event. We secured prominent presence via non-paid speakership, saw an average of 200-300 attendees per day, landed 2-3 leads with production companies, helped content creators realize our value, and opened new opportunities for Business Development.
