A research by Capgemini showed that since The year 2000,
52% of Fortune 500 companies have taken the knockout hit
and fallen just because they didn’t foresee the digital
revolution and its impact on the industry.
As a CEO or entrepreneur, one must see disruption as a risk
if they don’t see the opportunity it offers. As accepting
disruption and working that ideology down the company
requires a shift in the mindset, along with an appetite to
make substantial investments in new technology and skills.
Such a change is easier in smaller companies with young
and ambitions top management. I’d credit this quality as the

ups that disrupted the space.

the disruption card and win the game. I’ll try and lay those
traits down one by one with a goal to help one see the
bigger picture in which disruption works as a positive force
and as a game changer.

company. Carry our weekly brain storming sessions.
• Embrace technology. Seek out for new technologies and
be the first to test them against your novel ideas.
• Be extremely curious about customers, think beyond
current business challenges you are facing.
• Be supportive and persistent through uncomfortable
change – it is likely to change will be unpleasant.
• Mitigate risks. Always begin by piloting your idea in the
market with a light and affordable architecture.
• Follow the leaders in disruption and create your own
tactics drawing inspiration from them

If you closely study all the disruptive models that are
successful today, you can see that the original thoughts
were not about profits to begin with, but about the
customers and how facilitating them in doing things easier
to make life better. And maybe this is where the real
learning sites.

Journey towards adopting Agile:
“On confronting and accepting the
profound value of above interrogations
and to turn these false norms into
reality (at least for my company), came
into existence my acceptance of Agile

Agile and Lean Development as
adopted and now explained by me
relates to the ideology of starting
swiftly, creating a quality driven
Minimum Viable Product and releasing
the same for user feedbacks. Agile for
me is to adapt to change, but being
over enthusiastic we often forget that
we are humans, our employees too are.
Adopting change has never been easy
for anyone. Carrying this, my
perspective and my secret to success is
to act as human, understand the values,
help the employees to comprehend
adopt the change, and educate them
enthusiastically to understand what we
actually want to achieve and how. The
whole process includes valuing my
employees, motivating them, and to
ignite a spark of being a good human.
When asked about results of this
practice, I simply assert “At least we
can/should try.”
And for me doing this has always been
much easier than my peers for I have
personally applied the principles of

both large and small, for in-house as
well as commercial environments, in
an organic setting as well as the
ordained setting. I have educated
dozens of teams, and made Agile
principles come to life in many
settings. I have played many of the
roles in the development arena, such as
the role of developer, analyst, team
lead, architect, and project manager. I
have also trained, coached as well as
worked with big giants like Microsoft,
Siemens, iGate, Indiabulls and many
more. And instead expressing proud, I
gratefully add that I am running a
successful organization named
“Bacancy technology” to deliver
decent software services, using Agile.
Plans ahead:
As a team, our plan for future is to see
our organization grow smoothly on the
way becoming the leading Web and
Mobile Application Development
Company. Our dreams are not bound
by geographic boundaries and hence
