  3. ender never determines an individual’s leadership Gabilities. Instead, organizations must assess leadership potential by evaluating individual strengths and personality traits. Regardless of the type of business, you're running, or even the industry that you're operating in, to say that strong female leaders are important is something of an understatement. In truth, they're essential - not only for providing a much-needed perspective on the direction that a business is taking but also in terms of the types of qualities that they bring to the table that you're unlikely to find anywhere else. One of the most invaluable traits that female leaders bring to the table is their sense of awareness. They typically try to look at the bigger picture first, but then break a situation down into the finer details to see what is really going on underneath. Women in leadership positions aren’t afraid to see a situation from a variety of angles. They tend to attempt to understand a situation as organically as possible by asking the right questions at the right time, rather than bending a situation to their own will. To be a great leader, you must not limit yourself to becoming an expert in your own industry only. Good leaders have the ability to see what bigger role they have to play. They take the time to look at the bigger picture and figure out how they can be relevant. Women always look ahead and ways to get opportunities for themselves and others. Women have a vision, which allows them to stay ahead and be an inspiration to other people. And so, it isn’t surprising that when it comes to making illustrious career moves, you can always count on women to know what they are doing and what they want to achieve. These resilient leaders have been immensely contributing to enabling transformations in the modern industrial sector, the construction niche being no exception. The construction segment has seen a definitive rise in the number of female leaders making huge strides in the field. Indulging in the innovations of these resolute leaders, Insights Success, through its latest edition, “The Most Empowering Women Leaders in Construction 2022,” highlights the charismas who are symbolizing excellence and transforming the facets of the construction sector. 10. o matter how good the construction is, a bad render Nand paint job can leave the place looking undesirable. It is said that colors have a psychological link to emotions, and a good finish can not only uplift the whole construction but also the mood of the people occupying it. Livening up spaces and people is G P Coatings® NSW, a prominent company in delivering high-end painting, rendering and textured finishes for projects across a wide range of sectors both public and private. Leading general contractors have enlisted the company to be the painting and rendering subcontractor for well-known historical landmarks, defence assets, large-scale residential projects, hospitals, just to name a few. Vida Luo, its Director of Business Development, ensures the continuous rise of G P Coatings. As the “business brain” and leader of both the sales and marketing teams, Vida has played a critical role in positioning G P Coatings as a leader in the marketplace, turning new opportunities into sales revenue with confidence and precision. She has long been passionate about business development and brand-building, and she gets the chance to fulfill both at G P Coatings. Since Vida joined the company in 2011, she has been relentlessly striving to strengthen and deliver G P Coatings’ mission and vision - to deliver innovation through design in the painting and rendering world. Vida is passionate about using the latest technology to ensure the best results for her clients, collaborating closely with fellow staff and applicators to uphold the company’s legacy of greatness. She firmly believes in maintaining the cutting edge in the industry is by keeping a finger on its pulse. She is constantly gathering knowledge by learning from leading industry experts and her fellow entrepreneurs. This insatiable hunger for knowledge is the driving force behind every achievement she’s made in the past including her being named the ‘2021 Top 100 Women in Construction.’ This entrepreneur, wife, and mother of two can be found indulging in self-improvement when she is not burning the midnight oil-from working out to reading, traveling, watching movies, and exploring healthy lifestyle opportunities. In an exclusive interview with Insights Success, Vida Luo shares a tale of passion leading to perpetual success. Vida, enlighten our readers about G P Coatings® NSW, its services/solutions, and how they significantly enable enhancements in the commercial contracting sector. G P Coatings has been serving New South Wales with premium, high-end painting and rendering services for the past 20 years. One thing about us is that we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all service. Instead, our team of over 60 painting and rendering professionals enjoy working closely with our clients to ensure we understand their wants and needs in-depth. Once both we and our clients are on the same page, we work our magic to bring their visions to life. We’ve partnered with hundreds of tier one and tier two general contractors throughout the NSW region on many high-profile projects, including Barangaroo Tower, Central Station, Hornsby Station, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and Royal North Shore Hospital, to name but a handful. Our comprehensive services comprise everything from general painting to decoration, texture coatings, protective coatings, membrane coatings, and hygiene coatings. We also offer anti-graffiti treatment, wall covering, lead- based paint removal, epoxy floor coatings, line marking, and acrylic rendering, cement rendering, etc. But our services are intended to do more than making our client’s buildings spectacles to behold. It is also critical that we offer protection and fortification against unpredictable dangers. Take, for example, our rendering and intumescent coating services. Rendering is where we coat internal or external walls with a cement, acrylic, or Granosite mixture to waterproof the building’s walls. And intumescent coating refers to the process of protecting load-bearing structures against fire. This helps to delay structural damage caused by fires while giving building occupants more time to evacuate buildings safely. Ultimately, when choosing G P Coatings, you can rest assured that no detail is left behind. Tell us about your journey and shed light on your professional tenure as the Business Development Director of G P Coatings® NSW. 11. I would like to give credit to each of our team members on an individual level. Without their understanding, input, and professionalism, making it past the early stages of being in business would have been a much bigger struggle.
  12. professionalism, timeliness, and complete customer care for each of the clients we work with. Our vision is to be recognized as a preeminent painting & rendering contractor in Australia, pursuing excellence through dedication, experience, and passion. As this vision is slowly but surely becoming G P Coating’s reality, I think it’s important to remember our humble beginnings and be thankful for how far we’ve come. It’s easy to get caught up in the awards and accolades G P Coatings has stacked up over the years. But in receiving praise, we’ve only spread praise to all of the incredible people that make up the company. Without our team’s commitment, dedication, and passion for painting, coating, rendering, and serving – we wouldn’t be anywhere close to where we are now. What were the challenges that you had to surmount in the initially, and looking at the current industry scenario, what are the challenges now? As with any business in its early stages, I think amassing an impressive portfolio is a struggle right out of the gate. Clients want to see what you can do before they hire you, but that can’t happen before you’ve done any work. So, in relation to this, I think our biggest initial challenge was being able to convince our early clients that we can get P Coatings since 2011, I’ve led our incredible sales and marketing division with confidence, compassion, and a commitment to turning new opportunities into sales and long-term partnerships. I first started at G P Coatings after graduating from the University of Macquarie with a master’s degree in Linguistics, coupled with a bachelor’s in Business. Since day one, it has been my belief that to continually grow G P Coatings, we need to stay on the pulse of our industry. With that being said, I enjoy and find immense benefit in familiarizing myself with and testing out the latest technologies to supercharge our services and continue growing, evolving, and adapting for years to come. What are the fundamentals that highlight G P Coatings® NSW’s position as the leading company in the commercial contracting sector? From a professional sense, I feel that G P Coating’s years of experience and unmatched expertise are what enable us to stand apart from other painting and render contractors in New South Wales. But from a personal perspective, I believe that we bring so much more than that as a team. The clients and business professionals we work this are incredibly busy and depend on us as their contractors to achieve success and results. So, to answer this question while sharing some inside scoop, I think our ability to truly understand our clients’ wishes and requirements – and then customize and curate a project plan that suits them – is where our true value lies. We don’t treat our clients as just another job opportunity; instead, we strive to unearth the personal desires behind their professional persona, tailoring our services accordingly. Tell us more about the vision and mission of G P Coatings® NSW and shed light on the key aspects of its stronghold in the commercial contracting sector. At G P Coatings, our mission always has been – and always will be – to provide our customers with exceptional workmanship, extraordinary services, and professional integrity. Our incredible team consistently strives to implement long-term working relationships with our clients, as we believe a powerful partnership has the ability to unlock untapped potential. We guarantee We don’t treat our clients as just another job opportunity; instead, we strive to unearth the personal desires behind their professional persona, tailoring our services accordingly.
  13. the job done better than they thought possible. Once we had a few clients who were more than satisfied with our service, the next challenge was managing an influx of orders. As a company, we’ve had to become highly adaptable and accommodating to changes in the industry, as well as the impact of the pandemic, while ensuring we do a pristine job no matter what difficulties are going on behind the curtain. Again, I would like to give credit to each of our team members on an individual level. Without their understanding, input, and professionalism, making it past the early stages of being in business would have been a much bigger struggle. In terms of the challenges that we deal with today, I think one thing we must stay steadfast in is our ability to adapt. New technologies present new possibilities. They help us become more efficient, offer higher-grade services, and have the ability to better streamline our workflow. The challenge within that is staying on the cutting edge and growing alongside the new technology we’re using, not in the opposite direction. What would be your advice to the aspirants willing to venture into the commercial contracting sector? I would say join G P Coating because you’d rather work with us than have us as your competition! Shameless brag aside, I think the best advice I could give aspiring painters and contractors is to lead with your heart and let your intuition guide your decisions. You need to have a passion for this industry; otherwise, you’ll never see success. I say that because I believe our love for what we do is what comes across in the final product. So, to anyone looking to start or grow a business like ours, you better make sure this is what you want to do because only then will your business look after you. Where do you envision G P Coatings® NSW eventually, and how do you plan to strengthen its operation and services to ensure you get the best results possible? Year after year, we’ve grown from strength to strength. And if something is not broken, don’t go messing around trying to fix it! Our plans for the future remain to be recognized as one of Australia’s most distinguished painting and rendering contractors. Once we achieve that, ask me this question again, and I’ll probably say THE WORLD. But at the moment, we will continue to provide exceptional service with respect and compassion for our clients to back it up. I don’t feel that G P Coatings is fighting to push past the competition at this point in time. We’ve done the grunt work, and we’re grateful for how well our services have been responded to. Now, we’re laser-focused on maintaining our position as the go-to painting and rendering contracting service in New South Wales, and all of Australia.

  15. Bailey Jordan A Compassionate Leader Developing Firm Connections in Real Estate When it comes to the Real Estate industry, relocation is one of the factors that comes into play at a large scale. For some people, relocation can be a complex process filled with obstacles; the first and foremost is finding a new home. Bailey Jordan, a seasoned Realtor® with an extensive history in the real-estate industry, understands these obstacles at a personal level. As the CEO of The Jordan Group Jax at Navy to Navy Homes, Bailey is well acquainted with a wide range of knowledge regarding selling homes and guiding buyers through the process of homeownership. She puts her knowledge into her work at Navy to Navy Homes in order to provide a higher level of real estate services for her military families, often who have extraordinary relocation needs. Insights Success caught up with Bailey in our quest to find "The Most Influential Real Estate Leaders 2022." We conversed with her to understand how her expertise is helping Navy to Navy Homes to provide unparalleled customer services. Below are the highlights of the interview. Brief our audience about your journey as a business leader until your current position at Navy to Navy Homes. What challenges you had to overcome to reach where you are today? I am a third-generation Real Estate Agent and Broker. Ironically, I did not grow up with a dream to be in this industry, yet here I am, and I truly feel it is exactly where I am supposed to be. In a brief synopsis, I graduated from Florida State University in 2013, and while planning my wedding and submitting graduate school applications after graduation, I was hired as an Admin Assistant at Navy to Navy Homes. Six months into the job, I felt compelled to get my license, and I did. I became a licensed Real Estate Agent and later felt compelled to obtain my Brokers License. I never thought twice again about going to grad school. I fell in love with this industry, building relationships, serving, and giving back- I truly felt like I had found where I was supposed to be. I remember, as a little girl, helping my grandfather with real estate duties during summers at their house, and my parents have always had investment properties, flipped homes, etc. I grouted my first tile floor at age 12 and have been helping collect rent payments since about then too! It is pretty cool to look back and see how those ordinary family tasks back then laid so much groundwork for what I do today! Tell us something more about your company and its mission and vision. Navy to Navy was founded truly on the premise to help serve and give back to our military and other community heroes. We are a full-service Real Estate Company. We offer Property Management and Real Estate Services. We are also proud affiliates of the national program, Homes for Heroes. This is for those who buy or sell with our team, and we rebate back 25% of our commission to them. To date, we have given back over 2 Million Dollars to our Hero Customers! Enlighten us on how you have made an impact in the Real Estate niche through your expertise in the market? I firmly believe a large responsibility in my role as a Real Estate Agent is to educate. Therefore, I take great pride in building relationships with my customers- both buyers and sellers. For Buyers, I find great joy in sitting down, educating them in the process, what exactly it takes and looks like to become a homeowner. For sellers- I want them to know and understand the market they are selling in, what it will take to successfully sell their home, and walk them December 2022 | 17 | www.insightssuccess.com The Most Empowering Women Leaders in Construction, 2022
  16. through each and every step- from contract to closing table and beyond! I believe, through my care and heart to educate and be a resource to them and truly asking myself how I can best serve them, this mentality has helped leveraged my success because I am more focused on the experience and the outcome versus treating them as another transaction and a number. Describe in detail the values and the work culture that drives your organization. We are truly a team. We all work together to provide top- notch service to our community in Northeast Florida. We have a family mentality, and no one is ever too busy with one another. Our favorite saying as a team is, “A Rising Tide Lifts all Boats”. The more we come together and help each other succeed, the better we do as a company. Something that does set us apart- we are a part of the national program, "Homes for Heroes." Through this program, we rebate back 25% of our gross commission to our buyers and sellers who are considered community heroes- military members, medical professionals, first responders, and clergy. As a Brokerage, as of 2021, we have awarded back over 2 Million Dollars to our buyers and sellers who are community heroes. Undeniably, technology is playing a significant role in almost every sector. How are you leveraging technological advancements to make your solutions resourceful? We have used technology in our industry for quite some time. However, with the current advancements in many realms, it has become almost imperative for real estate agents to evolve with the popular trends. A few forms of technology I have personally used in my business since becoming licensed- videos on my listings with the use of the drone, short educational clips about the home buying and selling processes, and others. Through the use of video, people can see a bit more of whom you are versus just reading text on a website or phone app. As other social platforms have become more relevant in the last few years, as agents, we have to utilize these to stay in front of our audiences, too- buyers, sellers, even other agents! Forums as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others are becoming platforms high performing agents must use in their business. Instagram has ramped up the usage of video, and I personally am loving it! We can utilize these video clips to complete house tours, show behind the scenes, and again showcase our personality and beneficial information to the consumer in a more exciting manner. Where do you envision yourself to be in the long run, and what are your future goals for Navy to Navy Homes? Navy to Navy's long-term vision is to continue to grow both locally in our market and afar. In 2019, we opened our second office located in Pensacola, Florida. We have a strong desire to have offices scattered through the United States close to Military Bases so we may be able to continue to serve and give back to those who serve and protect their communities and us! 17. Assisting YOU to Find YOUR Next Exceptional Home When one conquers the battle with the inner self, there is nothing in the outer world one cannot achieve. Such is the story of Cassie Samons, who fought her battle against addiction and has become one of the renowned names in the real estate industry. When Insights Success came across Cassie, we were intrigued by her journey; we caught up with her and talked about how she has become the top 1% agent in the niche as the Realtor at JP and Associates. Below are the highlights of the interview: Briefly describe your professional journey up until now. I am the daughter of a custom home builder and entrepreneur. I always watched him sell houses, so I came by it naturally. I understand the entire construction process and know how to fix things or point out homes' flaws. I was licensed at 25 years of age. I am now 42. 2021 I was sales volume team of the year, Transaction team of the year, and Listing Agent of the year for my entire brokerage. Not only do I sell Real Estate, but I built my first home in 2021 and have 2 I am currently working on. I am Top 1% of all agents in my brokerage. There are currently more than 4000. What challenges did you face along the way? I am an addict and fought to get clean. I have 12 years of clean and sober on June 9, 2010. That was the biggest challenge. Everything else is relatively easy, even in tough markets. Once I conquered my struggles, that resulted in the success of my business. What significant impact have you brought to the real estate industry? I have impacted hundreds of people who are my clients. I pride myself on integrity and always doing what is best for my clients. I also have helped several addicts find treatment and help pay for it. I have been blessed, and I choose to bless people every chance I get. I am currently writing a book about my life. The struggles and victories. Any proceeds from the book will help addicts pay for treatment. Tell us about JP and Associates and its foundation pillar. JPAR - Real Estate is founded on three fundamental values: Integrity in all we go (a solid code of ethics that every associate agrees to) Productivity (the only metric respected in our industry is per person productivity) December 2022 | 20 | www.insightssuccess.com The Most Empowering Women Leaders in Construction, 2022
  18. Our mission is to provide extraordinary services and exceed our clients' expectations by always committing to the highest levels of professionalism, ethics, and standards in the real estate industry. Cassie Samons, Realtor JP and Associates December 2022 | 21 | www.insightssuccess.com
  19. Service Heart (what good does it do to make money if we do not give back) Jpar is hyper-focused on creating a community of associates that mentor and empower each other to build their businesses and make an impact in their communities. How do JP and Associates promote workforce flexibility, and what is your role in it? Our CEO and President Mark Johnson believe there is no one size that fits all and has created an environment where each associate's unique skill and talents can be highlighted and leveraged in the marketplace. For example, we provide about 110 office spaces for those agents that need a value office away from their homes, while we also empower those associates that feel they serve the consumer best from a home office. By providing tools like JPAR Sure Sale, our associates have the flexibility to be a CONSULTANT vs. a salesperson. JPAR Sure Sale is key to delivering the right experience for every consumer. Homeowners can sell their homes traditionally, as most choose to do. Or they can swap their current home for a new one — just as easy as they swap a car. Or they can get an iBuyer offer. What is your take on technology's importance, and how are you leveraging it? I don't leverage technology very well. My husband is also an agent, and he handles all of the technical stuff. I build strong relationships and am focused on being of service to anyone in my community. I am the go-to agent in my hometown. What will be the next significant change in the real estate industry, and how are you preparing for it? The shortage in housing is making a huge impact on people. I just purchased 20 acres I am subdividing and building houses on. Doing my part in the housing shortage. What are your goals in the upcoming future? My goals for 2022 are to sell 50MM in Real Estate and build more homes that I can sell. What advice would you like to give the next generation of aspiring business leaders? Stick with it no matter what, and always put God first. December 2022 | 22 | www.insightssuccess.com
