Infosys value analysis, value engineering services optimized materials, design, parts affecting multi-million dollar costs savings across the program lifecycle. Interior Systems Partnering with a tier 1 interior hard trims supplier, Infosys deployed systematic processes and design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) principles optimizing designs to eliminate design and tooling iterations. Result: direct cost savings of about 30%, # engineering changes reduced 18%. Value Engineering Infosys solutions on material selection, design optimization, and part communization resulted in total cost optimization and savings of over 8.0 million USD across different vehicle programs for a global tier 1 seating system supplier. Product Infosys performed weight optimization for a trailer where the metallic Optimization substructure was replaced with composite substructures adopting design practices from Aerospace.
