Travel to Darjeeling, the land of clouds and greenery
I don't remember where I first heard about Darjeeling. But after reading the story of touching
the mountains and clouds, I decided that if I ever go to India, Darjeeling will be the first place
I go. This is my first India tour, and I am going to Darjeeling.
People of Darjeeling speak many languages simultaneously. Their main language is Nepali.
Darjeeling is located in West Bengal. Their administration under West Bengal. Bengali also
knows. He knows Hindi. Many tourists from all over the world also know or need to know
English.
I imagined Darjeeling to be a very peaceful city. But go and see many people. nice place
Mountains, clouds, greenery. A small lake could be seen between the mountains. The water
of the lake is very clear. And the shadow of the trees in that water looks strangely beautiful.
How low are the clouds? A city above the clouds. Sometimes the clouds touch.
I have done visa long ago. About four months ago. I couldn't find the time to do a big tour in
India at once. So one day I decided to come back from Darjeeling even if it was a short tour.
Then on the 26th, I suddenly cut the ticket from Dhaka to Kolkata. The visa that was given to
me was either through air or Haridashpur border. Darjeeling is nearer to us than Tetulia. But
it will take a long time to reach Haridashpur. So I thought I would go to Airei. Bagdogra is the
nearest airport to Darjeeling. Again there is no direct flight from Bangladesh to Bagdogra. So
first I did not cut the ticket from Dhaka to Kolkata. And that was on the morning of the 28th.
Flight at 8.40. After going to Kolkata, I will book the ticket for Bagdogra.
For package info, please visit: https://www.travelmate.com.bd/travel-darjeeling-from-dhaka/
Dhaka to Kolkata
He was supposed to arrive in Kolkata in the morning. Flight at 8.40. Thinking that there will be
no jam in the morning, I left the room at 7 o'clock. But due to heavy traffic jam on the road, I
could not reach the airport properly. I missed the flight. The next flight is in the evening. Biman
Bangladesh tickets to go to Kolkata. Later I went to their office and told them that I missed the
flight. After asking when is the next flight, he said in the evening. After paying some fine I
confirmed the evening ticket. Come to Kolkata by evening flight. Spent the whole day at the
airport. Hannibal sees. Just left the airport at noon and didn't have lunch.
After reaching Kolkata, I tried to buy a ticket for Bagdogra. Almost all airline tickets are sold
out. Jet Air has tickets. Fairer than all other airs. Later did not buy ticket from Jet Air. The next
job is the hotel.
Didn't eat at the hotel at night. The rice that is served is like noodles. Long long rice. At first I
was confused. These are rice or noodles. Later, I saw on the packet, Xaomin Fried Rice. I
understand, I am eating rice.
Taxi drivers in Kolkata are like rickshaw or CNG drivers in Cox's Bazar. Another broker. They
will take you to the hotel of your choice. The thing is bad. Many hotels are available to stay at
Kolkata airport. There was no need to take a taxi. But once he heard that I needed a hotel, he
did not leave me. I fell into the trap too.
Kolkata to Darjeeling
I woke up in the morning and left the hotel. It was only 6:30 local time. I start the morning with
a cup of tea. The tea cup is too small. Two or three sips of tea only.
After that, Luchi did not eat fried and dal. People speak three different languages in Kolkata.
Hindi, Bengali, English. Let's go to the airport after eating. It took a lot of time to get the
boarding pass, check in etc. The flight is around 10:20.
Bagdogs arrived around 11:20. At first Bagdogra pronunciation was very difficult. It seemed
strange. Now it's easy. From Bagdogra to Siliguri. At a place called Junction. From here there
are cars to Darjeeling. Had to sit there for a long time. For other passengers of Darjeeling.
Although I have seen the water well many times, I drew water from the first well in Siliguri.
After sitting for about 30 minutes, head towards Darjeeling. Those jeeps are suitable for
running in the mountains. We were only four passengers. The mountains were visible from
the time of departure from Siliguri towards Darjeeling. As if the mountains are calling us.
Darjeeling is on the hills. far above The hill that we see from below, if we go up to the top of
that hill, we can see the top of the new hill. Then climb on it, then throw another one. This is
how I keep climbing up.
Occasional settlements in the hills. From below, the houses on top of the hill look very small.
And from above and below the houses look very small. Just as everything looks small from
the plane, so do the flat houses from the top of the mountain. After a long climb, everything
below was no longer visible for the clouds. Everything looked so blurry. Still rising. upwards.
How terrible are the twists and turns of the mountain roads. Sometimes a 180 degree turn.
Looking at the foot of the mountain. If you read in any way, you will not find yourself. No one
seems to come looking.
The main town of Darjeeling is full of people. very crowded Many shops sell jute. I thought it
would be a quiet town. But I was a bit disappointed to see so many people. Even on this hill it
gets jammed. Everything closes here in the evening, apart from the shops. I went out in the
afternoon, evening time to say the least. I saw many people then. When I reached Darjeeling,
around 3:30, there was still a large presence of people. But I went out at 8 pm and found that
everything was closed. Everything is closed except for restaurants or small eateries and
medicine shops.
Darjeeling 2nd day
For going Darjeeling, you will get updated info here:
https://www.travelmate.com.bd/events/darjeeling-group-tour/
Tiger Hill:
The car has to be fixed the night before to go to Tiger Hill. Everyone goes to Tiger Hill to watch
the sunrise. And to see it, you have to go out at four in the morning. I set the alarm at 4 o'clock.
My alarm buzzer already called the hotel staff. Then I freshened up and left for Tiger Hill. Tiger
Hill is the highest point of Darjeeling. About 11 km away from the main town. And it takes
about 40 minutes to reach by jeep. Many people go there. Rows of gifs, one behind the other.
After getting close there was no more jiff going for the jam, then had to walk down. You have
to buy tickets there. I had to go a long way after cutting the ticket. Walking up the hill is tough
enough, and everyone was gathering at Tiger Hill to watch the sunrise. We are too late to say.
I went and saw the whole Tiger Hill throwing people. Many more are on the way.
A red glow was slowly appearing in the east. Slowly the amount of red color started to increase.
At one time Suryimama peeked. Immediately everyone screamed. joy Really beautiful sunrise
from Tiger Hill. As people were coming like the speed of the current, they started to come and
go again slowly. Surya showed himself for a short while, perhaps shy of seeing so many
people, and again hid behind the clouds. So many people, so many rows of parked jeeps, it
took me a long time to find our jeep. All the jeeps were parked in a row, I saw the number plate
and started walking. Then I couldn't find it. After calling the jeep driver two or three times, I
found a time.
Two more spots fell on the way back from Tiger Hill. A temple, forgot the name. Another is the
batasia loop.
Batasia Loop:
Some flower plants are beautifully arranged in the batasia loop. It is a road or loop of small
railway lines. What is beautiful is the view of Darjeeling city from Batasiya Loop. From here
one can have a wonderful view of many parts of Darjeeling. After seeing the Batasia Loop, we
were dropped off in front of our respective hotels. It was only half past eight in the morning.
Japanese Pease Pagoda & Japanese Temple:
I had breakfast. Vegetable sandwiches and tea here. Darjeeling tea. Then left again at half
past nine for HMI [Himalayan Mountaineering Institute]. There is also a zoo. But Japanese
Pease Pagoda & Japanies Temple falls on the way. These two are in the same place.
Himalayan Mountaineering Institute:
For those who want to climb Everest, HMI is like a pilgrimage. Training is given here.
Everything is there including accommodation. There is also a museum. There is a collection
of riches here. All related to Everest. I saw them. The institute is named after Tenzing Norgay.
There is a statue of Tenzing Norgay in front of the museum. After seeing the museum, I went
to the zoo.
the zoo
The zoo is not that big. A few animals. But it will be difficult to walk due to high and low.
After seeing the zoo, I went to see the tea garden. Although there are tea plantations almost
in the hills of Darjeeling. Then he went to meet. In the jeep we were going, there were two
people from Calcutta, we talked to them. Two others were from Assam. Talked to them from
Assam too. I came to see the tea garden near Tenzing Rock. Tenzing Norgay went to conquer
Everest by practicing on this huge rock.
Ropeway / Cable Car
Then came to get on the cable car. Other tourists in Ziff will not ride the cable car. I will get
up. So he left me here. I bought a ticket to ride the cable car. I was afraid to see the long serial.
A day will pass here. The ticket counter asked if I was alone, I said yes. Taporar showed me
the other way and told me to stand in front of the cereal. Because many people bring families.
So family members want to ride ropeway or cable car together. 6 people can get up. If a family
has fewer people, it is filled with single people. I am staying with a family from Assam.
Bengali is also spoken in Assam. He asked about me. How did you come from, how did you
come, etc. I said Other little things are with them. After a while they took out the chocolate,
and gave it to me as they ate it themselves. Apart from this, he was also eating a mixture of
dry fruits like almonds, raisins, and asked me to eat it too.
It cost a lot of money to go up to Nepal by cable car. India only 150 rupees. I thought it would
be a short distance. It will be over in no time. not ending Later I learned four kilos total. Two
kilos to go down, two kilos to climb. It takes about an hour to an hour and a half. Needless to
say, the view from the cable car is so much better. View of the mountain from the top of the
hill. It's supposed to be great. After getting down from the cable car, the family from Assam
asked me to have dinner with them. I left saying that I will return to the hotel. When I arrived,
I was invited to Assam. And said Assam is a very beautiful place. will like Must visit. Darjeeling
tea is very good. But Assam tea is more famous than Darjeeling tea.
Got down from the cable car and returned to Darjeeling city. Local gifs. Came to town and had
lunch. Chinese Veg Chopsy. Coming here, I was eating mostly vegetables. Fruit and
chocolate. The vegetable dishes were good to eat. When I returned to the hotel to take a
shower, I saw that it was evening. Evening means darkness. I went out for a little walk here
and there. All the shops started to close. Then I returned to the room.
Darjeeling third day
I woke up a little late in the morning. Around nine thirty. The weather was great. Everything
looked blue and green. Great view from my room.
Rock Garden:
I went out fresh. Destination Rock Garden. Rock Garden is usually visited by everyone in the
afternoon. Around 3 o'clock. Then the jeep is available. Many people can go together, so the
cost is less. I wanted to go in the morning. So I had to hire a private car.
Rock Garden is far down from Darjeeling city. Many tea gardens were seen on the way. And
Darjeeling city can be seen from below. Everything looked great as the weather was better. I
reached the rock garden to look around. The car driver gave me 40 minutes to explore the
rock garden. 40 minutes is enough time.
Rock garden is a fountain. I thought the garden would drag. Although there is also a garden.
Because the place is very beautifully decorated, with flowers and trees. The fountain is not
that big. but beautiful The surroundings of the fountain are more beautiful than the fountain.
Stairs to climb to the top of the fountain. I started climbing the stairs. I went up from one side
and went down from the other side. The mountains, the clouds and the blue of the sky looked
great together.
I returned to Darjeeling after seeing the fountain. On the way, I stopped at a place and took a
picture of what Darjeeling city looks like from below.
It was around 12 o'clock to return to Darjeeling city. I didn't have breakfast then either. I entered
a restaurant and played with potatoes. I thought it wouldn't taste good, eat to eat. But it was
good to eat.
Crossroads and malls
I went to the intersection after breakfast. It is the center of Darjeeling. Mall is just after the
intersection. There is a lot of flat land here. Many people gather. The surroundings are
beautiful. And here is a stage. There are concerts or various events.
When I came to the intersection, I started going in the direction I liked. It looked so beautiful
all around. There was an open space in front of a hotel, I entered thinking that the mountains
would look more beautiful from there. But as soon as I entered, a dog lightly bit my leg. He
started playing with it. I got scared. I couldn't figure out what to do due to so much rambling.
If you run, it bites. As soon as I stood, I saw it coming to bite. I quickly came out along the
gate. Even standing at the gate, the dog barked. What to save that survived! I said to myself
that the dogs of Darjeeling are very dogs.
There is a coffee shop called Cafe Coffee Day. There is also a great view from there. I went
there. Mainly for taking pictures. I took pictures and came out after eating pizza.
A road leads down to the right hand side of the mall. I started going down that way. Right side,
probably east side. It looked much nicer. There are also beautiful resorts on that side. The
resorts are also very nicely decorated. I turned around that way and came back to the mall.
Observatory Hill and Mahakal Temple
Further up the intersection are Observatory Hill and Mahakal Temple. From where everything
is supposed to be beautiful. But the trees there are so huge that nothing can be seen around
the trees. On top of that, the trees have darkened the place. The temple is there. I went up
from one side of Observatory Hill and came down from the other side.
How does everything look dark or cloudy when the sun is hidden by the clouds? Chills also
started. The sun seemed to set again very quickly. I came back to the mall through the other
side. It was cold outside. So I went to Cafe Coffee Day and sat down. The view here is more
beautiful from the open area of the mall. Slowly everything started to get dark. I sat here
checking e-mail, Facebooking etc. And light food.
I checked out the hotel in the morning. Because the train to Kolkata is at 8 pm. It will take a
long time to reach Kolkata by train. I will not see anything on it at night. Then he has to go.
Because returning from here to Kolkata by plane will be more trouble. Darjeeling to Siliguri,
Siliguri to Bagdogra. Bagdogra to Kolkata. I can go to sleep on the train at night.
I arrived at the train station much earlier, so as not to miss the plane. I am sitting for a while.
About 30 minutes ago, I asked the policeman in charge of the place where the Kolkata-bound
train was. He said which train. Then I said Kolkata train. Then he said that the train to Kolkata
leaves from Siliguri. I said I bought the ticket from here. He said the train does not leave here.
The trains here are local trains. For tourists. Checked my ticket. Then he said that the train
will stop at New Jalpaiguri. not from here
It takes about two and a half hours to drive from Darjeeling to Siliguri. No time to go to Siliguri.
Moreover, no jeeps from Darjeeling come towards Siliguri after evening. Where there is fear
of tigers, there is night. Darjeeling mail was also written on the train ticket. I thought it would
leave from Darjeeling. eat First I missed the plane, now I miss the train.
I returned to the hotel. I said I want to go to Siliguri now. If I can't go, I'll stay. A hotel staff came
with me. If you get a jeep in Siliguri, you will pick me up. Standing for a long time did not help.
I later went to the place where the jeep left. No jeep will go. Back in front of the hotel again.
All vehicles going towards Siliguri will pass through here. I'll go with whatever I get. After a
long time a private car stopped. I said I will go to Siliguri. He said 500 rupees. I said I will give
300 rupees. Normal is probably Rs 130. Later agreed to 300 taka. I got up. There were two
other passengers in that private car. He asked about me. I said about missing my train. They
said one of them will go to Calcutta. The next morning. This is why he is going to Siliguri now.
a passenger Another has come to give it a go.
It was agreed to go with them. Then he told me to stay at the hotel. I left for Kolkata by morning
train. And said that if you want, I can share the hotel with them. We all came to Siliguri and
ate. Then to the hotel. I and another person in the hotel. I stayed with a double bed room.
Another person left.
Siliguri to Kolkata
I went to New Jalpaiguri counter from the hotel in the morning. Train at 7:45. I went there at
half past seven. Didn't go and get a current ticket. From Jalpaiguri Station to Sealdah. The
current ticket rule is that if the seat is empty, you can sit. Otherwise you have to go to the bar.
The total road length is 580 km. It takes about 12 hours to arrive by train. The man took a
sleeper seat. The sleeper seats are long. Three people can sit. And one can sleep if one wants
to come to sleep.
The train is 50 minutes late. The train arrived. we got up No one will sleep in the morning. The
gentleman sat on one side of the sleeper. I'm on the other side. I haven't had breakfast yet.
Just left the hotel and had a cup of tea. The cups are already very small. Three sips of tea. If
there is tea under a mug, he does not think of it as tea. He was selling food packets on the
train. I took one from there and ate it. Then two eggs. After sitting for a while I fell asleep. Look
here and there. I see many sleepers are empty. I woke up and fell asleep. In the meantime TT
ticket was checked. Didn't say anything.
The first time I woke up, it was probably 2 am. After that, I got up for a walk, took some pictures
and slept again. till evening Then I spent the rest of the time sitting and walking. 12 hours have
already passed. Arrived at Sealdah and got down around 8:30. I will go to that side of Kolkata
Newmarket. I took a bus from Sealdah to Dharmatala. Newmarket near Dharmatala. After
Newmarket I went towards the hotel. Sadar Street has many hotels. I went to the Palace Hotel.
There are many brokers here. It is better to choose the hotel according to yourself.
After leaving the bag at the hotel, I came down and had dinner. Then go to the room and sleep.
I wanted to leave Dhaka the next afternoon. But there is no afternoon flight. All flights are in
the morning. So I decided to go the next day. I mean on the 3rd.
Got up in the morning and booked the air ticket first. Then breakfast. Kolkata is very interesting.
The taste is different from our countries. The method of making them is also different. After
breakfast, I boarded a traditional Kolkata rickshaw. I went to Park Street by rickshaw. was
near Many stories were written about this Park Street.
Went to Park Street and bought a watch from Fasttrack. Then I went to Newmarket. I shopped
for a house. A lot of time passed like this. Abhishek Patra said he will meet me in the afternoon.
His home is in Kolkata. He came around five in the afternoon. Then we walked here and there.
Then I came back to Park Street again. There is a famous book store here. Oxford Book Store.
Many books are available. You can also sit down and read.
I got out of the book store and got on the metro. Metro runs underground, like a train. but small
Moves very quickly. Many people can rise at once. Seating is less inside. Everyone stands
up. There is no jam. One can get from one place to another very quickly. I came to Dum Dum
by metro. Airport is nearby. After arriving at the airport, I checked my mobile phone and saw
Fazley Rabbii's message. He said he would meet. I asked to come to the airport. Here is the
original. Along with another friend of his, Shamim. We sat and ate together. I talked for a long
time. Then I entered the airport. It was almost eleven o'clock.
My flight is at 7:45 am the next day. I went to the airport without going to the hotel. If you go
to the hotel, you will not sleep before 1 o'clock. Have to get up again at 4 am. I thought it was
better to go to the airport instead of going to the hotel for three hours. It doesn't feel bad to
come here. Sit on the laptop and watch movies.
In the morning I got the boarding pass, completed the immigration and then waited to board
the plane.
Arrived Dhaka at 9 o'clock Dhaka time. Dhaka is the city of Jam. Although there was a half-
day strike. There are so many people in Dhaka, everyone has to go out. There is no
opportunity to distinguish which day is hartal and which day is normal day. Come to Dhaka
and complete the immigration and return home. My journey to Darjeeling ends.
If you want to go to Darjeeling by train, you can travel from Bangladesh in a nice way for
15000-20000 rupees. Here is a list of my expenses. Food costs in Darjeeling are very low.
And if two or more people match, the cost will be much less. If you want to go to Darjeeling
only, it will be convenient to take permission to enter through the border of North Bengal while
applying for a visa. I did not know all this when I applied for the visa. I thought that if you have
a visa, you can enter India through any border. But the border mentioned in the visa should
be entered through and exited through it. It will be better if you understand a little while applying
for a visa. If you do the visa yourself, it will cost only 600 rupees. It may cost 2000-3000 rupees
if done through an agent. With the help of Jakir Hossain Information collected by Imran Topu

Darjeeling Tour from Bangladesh Experience Everything.docx

  • 1. Travel to Darjeeling, the land of clouds and greenery I don't remember where I first heard about Darjeeling. But after reading the story of touching the mountains and clouds, I decided that if I ever go to India, Darjeeling will be the first place I go. This is my first India tour, and I am going to Darjeeling. People of Darjeeling speak many languages simultaneously. Their main language is Nepali. Darjeeling is located in West Bengal. Their administration under West Bengal. Bengali also knows. He knows Hindi. Many tourists from all over the world also know or need to know English. I imagined Darjeeling to be a very peaceful city. But go and see many people. nice place Mountains, clouds, greenery. A small lake could be seen between the mountains. The water of the lake is very clear. And the shadow of the trees in that water looks strangely beautiful. How low are the clouds? A city above the clouds. Sometimes the clouds touch. I have done visa long ago. About four months ago. I couldn't find the time to do a big tour in India at once. So one day I decided to come back from Darjeeling even if it was a short tour. Then on the 26th, I suddenly cut the ticket from Dhaka to Kolkata. The visa that was given to me was either through air or Haridashpur border. Darjeeling is nearer to us than Tetulia. But it will take a long time to reach Haridashpur. So I thought I would go to Airei. Bagdogra is the nearest airport to Darjeeling. Again there is no direct flight from Bangladesh to Bagdogra. So first I did not cut the ticket from Dhaka to Kolkata. And that was on the morning of the 28th. Flight at 8.40. After going to Kolkata, I will book the ticket for Bagdogra. For package info, please visit: https://www.travelmate.com.bd/travel-darjeeling-from-dhaka/ Dhaka to Kolkata He was supposed to arrive in Kolkata in the morning. Flight at 8.40. Thinking that there will be no jam in the morning, I left the room at 7 o'clock. But due to heavy traffic jam on the road, I could not reach the airport properly. I missed the flight. The next flight is in the evening. Biman Bangladesh tickets to go to Kolkata. Later I went to their office and told them that I missed the flight. After asking when is the next flight, he said in the evening. After paying some fine I confirmed the evening ticket. Come to Kolkata by evening flight. Spent the whole day at the airport. Hannibal sees. Just left the airport at noon and didn't have lunch.
  • 2. After reaching Kolkata, I tried to buy a ticket for Bagdogra. Almost all airline tickets are sold out. Jet Air has tickets. Fairer than all other airs. Later did not buy ticket from Jet Air. The next job is the hotel. Didn't eat at the hotel at night. The rice that is served is like noodles. Long long rice. At first I was confused. These are rice or noodles. Later, I saw on the packet, Xaomin Fried Rice. I understand, I am eating rice. Taxi drivers in Kolkata are like rickshaw or CNG drivers in Cox's Bazar. Another broker. They will take you to the hotel of your choice. The thing is bad. Many hotels are available to stay at Kolkata airport. There was no need to take a taxi. But once he heard that I needed a hotel, he did not leave me. I fell into the trap too. Kolkata to Darjeeling I woke up in the morning and left the hotel. It was only 6:30 local time. I start the morning with a cup of tea. The tea cup is too small. Two or three sips of tea only. After that, Luchi did not eat fried and dal. People speak three different languages in Kolkata. Hindi, Bengali, English. Let's go to the airport after eating. It took a lot of time to get the boarding pass, check in etc. The flight is around 10:20. Bagdogs arrived around 11:20. At first Bagdogra pronunciation was very difficult. It seemed strange. Now it's easy. From Bagdogra to Siliguri. At a place called Junction. From here there are cars to Darjeeling. Had to sit there for a long time. For other passengers of Darjeeling. Although I have seen the water well many times, I drew water from the first well in Siliguri. After sitting for about 30 minutes, head towards Darjeeling. Those jeeps are suitable for running in the mountains. We were only four passengers. The mountains were visible from the time of departure from Siliguri towards Darjeeling. As if the mountains are calling us. Darjeeling is on the hills. far above The hill that we see from below, if we go up to the top of that hill, we can see the top of the new hill. Then climb on it, then throw another one. This is how I keep climbing up. Occasional settlements in the hills. From below, the houses on top of the hill look very small. And from above and below the houses look very small. Just as everything looks small from the plane, so do the flat houses from the top of the mountain. After a long climb, everything below was no longer visible for the clouds. Everything looked so blurry. Still rising. upwards. How terrible are the twists and turns of the mountain roads. Sometimes a 180 degree turn. Looking at the foot of the mountain. If you read in any way, you will not find yourself. No one seems to come looking. The main town of Darjeeling is full of people. very crowded Many shops sell jute. I thought it would be a quiet town. But I was a bit disappointed to see so many people. Even on this hill it gets jammed. Everything closes here in the evening, apart from the shops. I went out in the afternoon, evening time to say the least. I saw many people then. When I reached Darjeeling, around 3:30, there was still a large presence of people. But I went out at 8 pm and found that everything was closed. Everything is closed except for restaurants or small eateries and medicine shops. Darjeeling 2nd day
  • 3. For going Darjeeling, you will get updated info here: https://www.travelmate.com.bd/events/darjeeling-group-tour/ Tiger Hill: The car has to be fixed the night before to go to Tiger Hill. Everyone goes to Tiger Hill to watch the sunrise. And to see it, you have to go out at four in the morning. I set the alarm at 4 o'clock. My alarm buzzer already called the hotel staff. Then I freshened up and left for Tiger Hill. Tiger Hill is the highest point of Darjeeling. About 11 km away from the main town. And it takes about 40 minutes to reach by jeep. Many people go there. Rows of gifs, one behind the other. After getting close there was no more jiff going for the jam, then had to walk down. You have to buy tickets there. I had to go a long way after cutting the ticket. Walking up the hill is tough enough, and everyone was gathering at Tiger Hill to watch the sunrise. We are too late to say. I went and saw the whole Tiger Hill throwing people. Many more are on the way. A red glow was slowly appearing in the east. Slowly the amount of red color started to increase. At one time Suryimama peeked. Immediately everyone screamed. joy Really beautiful sunrise from Tiger Hill. As people were coming like the speed of the current, they started to come and go again slowly. Surya showed himself for a short while, perhaps shy of seeing so many people, and again hid behind the clouds. So many people, so many rows of parked jeeps, it took me a long time to find our jeep. All the jeeps were parked in a row, I saw the number plate and started walking. Then I couldn't find it. After calling the jeep driver two or three times, I found a time. Two more spots fell on the way back from Tiger Hill. A temple, forgot the name. Another is the batasia loop. Batasia Loop: Some flower plants are beautifully arranged in the batasia loop. It is a road or loop of small railway lines. What is beautiful is the view of Darjeeling city from Batasiya Loop. From here one can have a wonderful view of many parts of Darjeeling. After seeing the Batasia Loop, we were dropped off in front of our respective hotels. It was only half past eight in the morning. Japanese Pease Pagoda & Japanese Temple: I had breakfast. Vegetable sandwiches and tea here. Darjeeling tea. Then left again at half past nine for HMI [Himalayan Mountaineering Institute]. There is also a zoo. But Japanese Pease Pagoda & Japanies Temple falls on the way. These two are in the same place. Himalayan Mountaineering Institute: For those who want to climb Everest, HMI is like a pilgrimage. Training is given here. Everything is there including accommodation. There is also a museum. There is a collection of riches here. All related to Everest. I saw them. The institute is named after Tenzing Norgay. There is a statue of Tenzing Norgay in front of the museum. After seeing the museum, I went to the zoo. the zoo The zoo is not that big. A few animals. But it will be difficult to walk due to high and low.
  • 4. After seeing the zoo, I went to see the tea garden. Although there are tea plantations almost in the hills of Darjeeling. Then he went to meet. In the jeep we were going, there were two people from Calcutta, we talked to them. Two others were from Assam. Talked to them from Assam too. I came to see the tea garden near Tenzing Rock. Tenzing Norgay went to conquer Everest by practicing on this huge rock. Ropeway / Cable Car Then came to get on the cable car. Other tourists in Ziff will not ride the cable car. I will get up. So he left me here. I bought a ticket to ride the cable car. I was afraid to see the long serial. A day will pass here. The ticket counter asked if I was alone, I said yes. Taporar showed me the other way and told me to stand in front of the cereal. Because many people bring families. So family members want to ride ropeway or cable car together. 6 people can get up. If a family has fewer people, it is filled with single people. I am staying with a family from Assam. Bengali is also spoken in Assam. He asked about me. How did you come from, how did you come, etc. I said Other little things are with them. After a while they took out the chocolate, and gave it to me as they ate it themselves. Apart from this, he was also eating a mixture of dry fruits like almonds, raisins, and asked me to eat it too. It cost a lot of money to go up to Nepal by cable car. India only 150 rupees. I thought it would be a short distance. It will be over in no time. not ending Later I learned four kilos total. Two kilos to go down, two kilos to climb. It takes about an hour to an hour and a half. Needless to say, the view from the cable car is so much better. View of the mountain from the top of the hill. It's supposed to be great. After getting down from the cable car, the family from Assam asked me to have dinner with them. I left saying that I will return to the hotel. When I arrived, I was invited to Assam. And said Assam is a very beautiful place. will like Must visit. Darjeeling tea is very good. But Assam tea is more famous than Darjeeling tea. Got down from the cable car and returned to Darjeeling city. Local gifs. Came to town and had lunch. Chinese Veg Chopsy. Coming here, I was eating mostly vegetables. Fruit and chocolate. The vegetable dishes were good to eat. When I returned to the hotel to take a shower, I saw that it was evening. Evening means darkness. I went out for a little walk here and there. All the shops started to close. Then I returned to the room. Darjeeling third day I woke up a little late in the morning. Around nine thirty. The weather was great. Everything looked blue and green. Great view from my room. Rock Garden: I went out fresh. Destination Rock Garden. Rock Garden is usually visited by everyone in the afternoon. Around 3 o'clock. Then the jeep is available. Many people can go together, so the cost is less. I wanted to go in the morning. So I had to hire a private car. Rock Garden is far down from Darjeeling city. Many tea gardens were seen on the way. And Darjeeling city can be seen from below. Everything looked great as the weather was better. I reached the rock garden to look around. The car driver gave me 40 minutes to explore the rock garden. 40 minutes is enough time.
  • 5. Rock garden is a fountain. I thought the garden would drag. Although there is also a garden. Because the place is very beautifully decorated, with flowers and trees. The fountain is not that big. but beautiful The surroundings of the fountain are more beautiful than the fountain. Stairs to climb to the top of the fountain. I started climbing the stairs. I went up from one side and went down from the other side. The mountains, the clouds and the blue of the sky looked great together. I returned to Darjeeling after seeing the fountain. On the way, I stopped at a place and took a picture of what Darjeeling city looks like from below. It was around 12 o'clock to return to Darjeeling city. I didn't have breakfast then either. I entered a restaurant and played with potatoes. I thought it wouldn't taste good, eat to eat. But it was good to eat. Crossroads and malls I went to the intersection after breakfast. It is the center of Darjeeling. Mall is just after the intersection. There is a lot of flat land here. Many people gather. The surroundings are beautiful. And here is a stage. There are concerts or various events. When I came to the intersection, I started going in the direction I liked. It looked so beautiful all around. There was an open space in front of a hotel, I entered thinking that the mountains would look more beautiful from there. But as soon as I entered, a dog lightly bit my leg. He started playing with it. I got scared. I couldn't figure out what to do due to so much rambling. If you run, it bites. As soon as I stood, I saw it coming to bite. I quickly came out along the gate. Even standing at the gate, the dog barked. What to save that survived! I said to myself that the dogs of Darjeeling are very dogs. There is a coffee shop called Cafe Coffee Day. There is also a great view from there. I went there. Mainly for taking pictures. I took pictures and came out after eating pizza. A road leads down to the right hand side of the mall. I started going down that way. Right side, probably east side. It looked much nicer. There are also beautiful resorts on that side. The resorts are also very nicely decorated. I turned around that way and came back to the mall. Observatory Hill and Mahakal Temple Further up the intersection are Observatory Hill and Mahakal Temple. From where everything is supposed to be beautiful. But the trees there are so huge that nothing can be seen around the trees. On top of that, the trees have darkened the place. The temple is there. I went up from one side of Observatory Hill and came down from the other side. How does everything look dark or cloudy when the sun is hidden by the clouds? Chills also started. The sun seemed to set again very quickly. I came back to the mall through the other side. It was cold outside. So I went to Cafe Coffee Day and sat down. The view here is more beautiful from the open area of the mall. Slowly everything started to get dark. I sat here checking e-mail, Facebooking etc. And light food. I checked out the hotel in the morning. Because the train to Kolkata is at 8 pm. It will take a long time to reach Kolkata by train. I will not see anything on it at night. Then he has to go. Because returning from here to Kolkata by plane will be more trouble. Darjeeling to Siliguri, Siliguri to Bagdogra. Bagdogra to Kolkata. I can go to sleep on the train at night.
  • 6. I arrived at the train station much earlier, so as not to miss the plane. I am sitting for a while. About 30 minutes ago, I asked the policeman in charge of the place where the Kolkata-bound train was. He said which train. Then I said Kolkata train. Then he said that the train to Kolkata leaves from Siliguri. I said I bought the ticket from here. He said the train does not leave here. The trains here are local trains. For tourists. Checked my ticket. Then he said that the train will stop at New Jalpaiguri. not from here It takes about two and a half hours to drive from Darjeeling to Siliguri. No time to go to Siliguri. Moreover, no jeeps from Darjeeling come towards Siliguri after evening. Where there is fear of tigers, there is night. Darjeeling mail was also written on the train ticket. I thought it would leave from Darjeeling. eat First I missed the plane, now I miss the train. I returned to the hotel. I said I want to go to Siliguri now. If I can't go, I'll stay. A hotel staff came with me. If you get a jeep in Siliguri, you will pick me up. Standing for a long time did not help. I later went to the place where the jeep left. No jeep will go. Back in front of the hotel again. All vehicles going towards Siliguri will pass through here. I'll go with whatever I get. After a long time a private car stopped. I said I will go to Siliguri. He said 500 rupees. I said I will give 300 rupees. Normal is probably Rs 130. Later agreed to 300 taka. I got up. There were two other passengers in that private car. He asked about me. I said about missing my train. They said one of them will go to Calcutta. The next morning. This is why he is going to Siliguri now. a passenger Another has come to give it a go. It was agreed to go with them. Then he told me to stay at the hotel. I left for Kolkata by morning train. And said that if you want, I can share the hotel with them. We all came to Siliguri and ate. Then to the hotel. I and another person in the hotel. I stayed with a double bed room. Another person left. Siliguri to Kolkata I went to New Jalpaiguri counter from the hotel in the morning. Train at 7:45. I went there at half past seven. Didn't go and get a current ticket. From Jalpaiguri Station to Sealdah. The current ticket rule is that if the seat is empty, you can sit. Otherwise you have to go to the bar. The total road length is 580 km. It takes about 12 hours to arrive by train. The man took a sleeper seat. The sleeper seats are long. Three people can sit. And one can sleep if one wants to come to sleep. The train is 50 minutes late. The train arrived. we got up No one will sleep in the morning. The gentleman sat on one side of the sleeper. I'm on the other side. I haven't had breakfast yet. Just left the hotel and had a cup of tea. The cups are already very small. Three sips of tea. If there is tea under a mug, he does not think of it as tea. He was selling food packets on the train. I took one from there and ate it. Then two eggs. After sitting for a while I fell asleep. Look here and there. I see many sleepers are empty. I woke up and fell asleep. In the meantime TT ticket was checked. Didn't say anything. The first time I woke up, it was probably 2 am. After that, I got up for a walk, took some pictures and slept again. till evening Then I spent the rest of the time sitting and walking. 12 hours have already passed. Arrived at Sealdah and got down around 8:30. I will go to that side of Kolkata Newmarket. I took a bus from Sealdah to Dharmatala. Newmarket near Dharmatala. After Newmarket I went towards the hotel. Sadar Street has many hotels. I went to the Palace Hotel. There are many brokers here. It is better to choose the hotel according to yourself.
  • 7. After leaving the bag at the hotel, I came down and had dinner. Then go to the room and sleep. I wanted to leave Dhaka the next afternoon. But there is no afternoon flight. All flights are in the morning. So I decided to go the next day. I mean on the 3rd. Got up in the morning and booked the air ticket first. Then breakfast. Kolkata is very interesting. The taste is different from our countries. The method of making them is also different. After breakfast, I boarded a traditional Kolkata rickshaw. I went to Park Street by rickshaw. was near Many stories were written about this Park Street. Went to Park Street and bought a watch from Fasttrack. Then I went to Newmarket. I shopped for a house. Metro runs underground, like a train. but small Moves very quickly. Many people can rise at once. Seating is less inside. Everyone stands up. There is no jam. One can get from one place to another very quickly. I came to Dum Dum by metro. Airport is nearby. After arriving at the airport, I checked my mobile phone and saw Fazley Rabbii's message. He said he would meet. I asked to come to the airport. Here is the original. Along with another friend of his, Shamim. We sat and ate together. I talked for a long time. Then I entered the airport. It was almost eleven o'clock. My flight is at 7:45 am the next day. I went to the airport without going to the hotel. If you go to the hotel, you will not sleep before 1 o'clock. Have to get up again at 4 am. I thought it was better to go to the airport instead of going to the hotel for three hours. It doesn't feel bad to come here. Sit on the laptop and watch movies. In the morning I got the boarding pass, completed the immigration and then waited to board the plane. Arrived Dhaka at 9 o'clock Dhaka time. Dhaka is the city of Jam. Although there was a half- day strike. There are so many people in Dhaka, everyone has to go out. There is no opportunity to distinguish which day is hartal and which day is normal day. Come to Dhaka and complete the immigration and return home. My journey to Darjeeling ends. If you want to go to Darjeeling by train, you can travel from Bangladesh in a nice way for 15000-20000 rupees. Here is a list of my expenses. Food costs in Darjeeling are very low. And if two or more people match, the cost will be much less. If you want to go to Darjeeling only, it will be convenient to take permission to enter through the border of North Bengal while applying for a visa. I did not know all this when I applied for the visa. I thought that if you have a visa, you can enter India through any border. But the border mentioned in the visa should be entered through and exited through it. It will be better if you understand a little while applying for a visa. If you do the visa yourself, it will cost only 600 rupees. It may cost 2000-3000 rupees if done through an agent.
