Feedback development 28072013

  1. 1. FEEDBACK & DEVELOPMENT Objective: In the end of this presentation we will come up with a meaningful thoughts that will help us to understand why Feedback is important to develop business management Prepared By: Imran Hussain
  2. 2. FEEDBACK & DEVELOPMENT •It’s hard to get better at something if you receive feedback on your performance just oncea year. Feedback gaps occur when employees need more frequent and/or higher quality feedback than they get. •If feedback is poor, it doesn’t matter how good your performance management process is. Without meaningful conversations about personal aspirations, performance, potential, a nd development it is unlikely that sustainable high performance will be achieved.
  3. 3. HOW FEEDBACK CAN BE A PART OF DEVELOPING A GOOD TEAM??? •THE WAY I DO THINGS • I take ownership of my performance and development •I get feedback from others and act on it • I take on new work to develop myself •I provide feedback to others to help them make things better •HOW I LEAD THE WAY •I support my team’s development and celebrate the success of others •I go out of my way to learn, apply and shares fresh thinking and new ideas •I regularly take on new and different challenges •Even when its tough, I give feedback to people that is honest and fair
  4. 4. THE WAY I DO THINGS I take ownership of my performance and development •I may not be the best choice for a particular job, but once it is given to I it is up to I to get it done the best way possible. •you can improve yourself by “owning” your own destiny. •you should take ownership and believe you can change. •A good way to start improving yourself is to audit your behavior and ask others for feedback.
  5. 5. I get feedback from others and act on it •Be honest with feedback that you take from others on your job & Try to act on the feedback you are provided. •Help the giver use the criteria for giving useful feedback. •Avoid making it more difficult for the giver of feedback than it already is. •Don’t ask for explanations •Show appreciation for the person’s effort to give you feedback.
  6. 6. I take on new work to develop myself •Observe the practice and behavior of others •Look for internal opportunities for development •Where do you hope to go next? •Next Step?
  7. 7. I provide feedback to others to help them make things better •Provide frequent feedback so that people know how they are doing. •Sometimes, the purpose of feedback is reward and recognition as well as improvement coaching. •People deserve your constructive feedback, too, so they can continue to develop their knowledge and skills.
  8. 8. HOW I LEAD THE WAY? •Shared belief in the value and achievability of the team's goals •Awareness of the value of the individual's own role and contribution •Friendship - enjoying working together with a common purpose •Rewarding good team behavior in financial and non-financial ways I support my team’s development and celebrate the success of others
  9. 9. I go out of my way to learn, apply and shares fresh thinking and new ideas •The only way to get far quickly is to get out of your comfort zone •The only way to get anywhere meaningful is through hard work •Share your ideas what the best you can do or how best you can improve the things by your own ideas •It can only be possible for you to go out of your way to learn, apply , share fresh thinking and new ideas when you think positive.
  10. 10. I regularly take on new and different challenges •In order to improve your skills you may try to face new challenges •Understanding the needs of your organization and team •Leadership development •Coaching and mentoring your people
  11. 11. Even when its tough, I give feedback to people that is honest and fair •In order to provide clear and concise feedback you have to be well informed what the job description is ? •Your feedback should be clear and understandable regarding your job responsibility (it may negative or positive) •Your feedback should be in a way that helps other to be motivated and encouraging for new and fresh thinking and ideas
  12. 12. Regards Imran Hussain
