The primary industry uses for the compound include pH control of solutions and cultures, as a fire retardant in cellulose and fiberglass insulation production, for rising during leather tanning, and as a binding material in wallboard. In the agricultural industry besides the main use in fertilizer blends the compound is also utilized as an herbicide adjuvant helping the effectiveness of weed controls, and for plants’ requirement for sulfur.
