Emails are the main communication channel used by employees in the workplace.

In a report from CRS (Corporate Social Responsibility), a quantitative study of 2000 employees of a major bank concluded the following about emails:

• A cognitive overload results from the increasingly important task of sorting emails

Moreover, we argue that email processing follow-up can also be a problem and a source of stress.
