How does the metaphor work?Both – business (or, rather, doing business) anddrama – are performative in nature Role playing is a fundamental concept in both – and failing to understand that ruins drama as well as business Techniques and frameworks used in theatrical performance are well suited to help people adapt to business challenges 2
  3. 3. What we will do to you? Absolutely nothing, because the idea here is not doing something to you but rather doing something with you, or even better:Doing something with yourself and others in thegroup In a one- or two-day workshop format you will master the basics of theatrical stage performance as well as learn how to develop empathy and trust in your partners. You will learn that the transactional nature of improvisational theater massively improves your ability also in more day-to-day transactional chores – at work, at home, in your community. 3

What’s the process?In a small group (usually of 5 –7) you will be coached by ourpartner theater director (withextensive improv experience).In an inviting, creative, open-space environment you willfirst practice speech and bodytechniques, then play a seriesof drama games.Finally, you will build yourimprov performance aroundissues/themes relevant toyour business environmentand challenges.Throughout the workshop youwill be developinginterpersonalskills, communicationskills, transactional masteryand team trust.Optionally, the workshop iscombined with an eveningvisit to one of the top Praguetheaters (DivadloKomedie, Dejvickédivadlo, Divadlo Na zábradlí) –with the fresh experience ofgoing through a theatricaltraining the workshopparticipants will see theperformance with fresh eyes.Also, they will be able to relatethe dramatic situations theysee on stage with their newlyacquired insight. 4

  7. 7. Real-life exampleSales team of a major (albeit local) IT company went througha series of “presentation skills” training sessions to not muchavail. The training concentrated on the surface instead oftrying to teach the people the skills they can use ineveryday negotiation situations.
