The University of São Paulo shared the Environmental USP Plan in three phases: • Phase 1: Definition of 12 environmental policies for the whole university in its 11 campuses with different biomes and realities. • Phase 2: Defining Sustainability Cloths with indicators and targets for the 12 policies in their 11 different campuses. • Phase 3: Development of Environmental Local Plans for each of the 11 campuses adapted to their local realities. 9

Conclusions of Phase 1 and Phase 2 – USP Environmental Policies • greater cohesion take place among faculty, staff, students and stakeholders from govern and private sector, regarding sustainability issues; • Faculty, staff and students now have greater responsibility in their actions related to sustainability; • after the creation of USP's sustainability policies occurred a clearer definition not only of the university's diagnosis, but mainly on defining clear goals, targets and deadlines. • Phase 3 (on going): Development of Environmental Local Plans for each of the 11 campuses adapted to their local realities 19
