THE APPROPRIATE CLOUD

The Cloud is over hyped - the internet is not 100% reliable and cloud services are not 100% up - recent examples with BT losing power in Birmingham taking out half the country; Blackberry cloud service has led to Email being down for the past 2 days... So the question is - how important is the cloud and how much should you rely on it?Aerohive is saying: Use the cloud, benefit from the cost savings, data backup, disaster recover etc... but don't rely on it for your oxygen! Wireless network access is critical to many businesses - regardless of internet access. Aerohive Cloud Management does not mean the wireless network fails just because the management is not available. You get the best of both worlds!

WAN X Failure Scenario 3 Wired Network Shuts Down X POE Still Available or Power Supplies used on Key APs 3G X X Recovery – All APs with power use wireless mesh to connect, one AP uses 3G backhaul to continue network operation.
