Illinois workNet is providing: • Outreach information and materials. • Training for partners. • Dashboards for real-time facilitation and engagement tools. • Integration with IDHS. • Eligibility steps and review. • Enrollment procedures and ongoing data including services, training, credentials, work-based learning and job placements, and other outcomes. • Customer and Outcome reporting options. Partnership with Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) to study a new approach to help Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients get into great careers utilizing Department of Commerce’s Job Training Employment (JTED) Program Model.   9. 9. Overview DHS and Community Based Organizations (CBOs) will be using a team approach with intake, enrollment, and customer Individualized Services, Training, and Employment Plans (ISTEP). Resources available on: Intake: DHS Staff Role: Use EPIC partner tools facilitate the intake process to refer SNAP customers to appropriate training programs to meet employers’/job seekers’ employment goals. CBO Role: Enter training program information and identify baseline requirements to help align customers to an appropriate training program.
  10. 10. 10 Recruitment resources available on: Recruit SNAP Participants Eligible individuals reside in one of the 33 counties in the study and are: • SNAP recipients who are work registrants (85 percent of 5,000 study participants) • Employed SNAP recipients, (this is a voluntary population, and will make up 15 percent of the study participants); exempt from work requirement • Participation may be mandatory or voluntary, depending on county and work registration status
