3. Evidence on Relevance of the PPP Model in
Lolkuniani
The revenue sharing between LMA and County Govt in Lolkuniani Market is 50:50 The
LMAs has offered the following services to the community in the year 2013
1. Paid school fees for 75 Students in primary , secondary and colleges-kshs 300,000
2. Supported ECD by employing four nursery school teachers for 3 teachers at Kshs
2,000 per month
3. Water development initiatives in the market worth kshs 74,000
4. Repair of market infrastructure contributed Kshs 20,000
5. Hospital bill for 6 patients

Market capacity-The no of traders,
producers has shown an upward trend
since July. This is due to
rise in the number of livestock presented

slight drop due to the rains.

8. Conclusion
KRDP interventions is making +ve impact towards making the
markets vibrant and hence boosting the hub concept.
However , there is need to see more contribution towards
improvement of market infrastructure
