  4. Priorities • Emerging infectious diseases and drivers (climate change, intensification, irrigation…) • Food safety and risk management • Vaccines and diagnostics • Antimicrobial use (resistance and residues)

Innovation • Diagnostics: simple, fast, easy for early detection and responses, adapted to value chain actors, database (management and sharing for informed policy) • Vaccine platform: ideal vaccines and delivery system (rapid license, vet services, veterinary and delivery services…) • Use of ICT, mobile technology for early detection, reporting, data management • Antibiotic prudent use concept: residues and antimicrobial resistance • One Health / EcoHealth approach
  6. Vision for ILRI@80 ILRI research has contributed to appropriate health management systems leading to healthy animals, people and ecosystem and increased animal source food and income for all
