Objectives
• To develop country-based Domestic Animal Genetic Resources Information System (DAGRIS) as unique sources of breed level
characterization information and more that serves as a tool for researchers, trainers, students, development workers, policy makers
etc;
• To build necessary human and infrastructure capacity to ensure the effective use of the information towards sustainable utilization of
indigenous FAnGR;
• To support national focal institutes and professionals to populate and manage the country DAGRIS database; and
• To establish a network for communication and information exchange between focal institutes of the GEF-Asia project countries to
facilitate sharing of experiences and partnerships;
