Research questions What can be learnt from selected country policies to equitably widen career opportunities for teachers? • How are teacher career schemes in selected country cases structured and how are promotion modalities organized? • What are implementation challenges of these different teacher career schemes? • How do teachers perceive these career schemes and the effects on their work and profession?
