PEPPERDINE UNIVERSITY OFFERS NEW LL.M. AND LEGAL ENGLISHPROGRAMSPepperdine University will be offering two new programs this upcomingyear, including a new LL.M. with a Concentration in InternationalCommercial Arbitration (ICA) starting this Fall and a legal English training program this summer.The ICA Concentration is a 28 unit (1 year) LLM program and includes six new InternationalCommercial Arbitration courses. Students will have the opportunity to learn from distinguishedguest practitioners from Jones Day, Freshfields, King & Spalding, and other major law firms.The Legal English Gateway Program (Gateway) is a four-week training program for internationalattorneys and judges and is designed to strengthen legal speaking, listening, reading and writingabilities for non-native speakers. The program will cover topics in legal research and writing, USlegal vocabulary and concepts, plus advanced reading, writing and grammar. The Gatewayprogram will also provide participants an opportunity to visit Los Angeles Superior Court, JAMSand meet with lawyers specializing in International Law practice.
