  2. 2. Tonal Skills Sound is the basic for all language skills. Group of sounds form words and group of words form sentence. Strong awareness about sounds and its applications will lead to mastery in communication. Tonality skills are the knowledge of voice and its components and how to use them effectively in a communication process. Traits of People who got good tonality skills Good Voice projection The two most important factors of voice projection are breathing technique and resonance. One should learn how to breathe properly from the diaphragm to properly and strongly project his voice. To breath from the diaphragm your stomach should expand when you are breathing in & contract when you exhale. Creating Well-Formed Sentences Formation of sentence with simplicity, choosing of write words and nullified grammatical errors will create clarity in a communication.
  3. 3. Having a diverse vocabulary The ability to use more words and words which gives the exact meaning will create clarity and value to the communication. Speaking Clearly Speaking clearly & slowly will get the interest of the listeners. What you need to do is speak every word slowly. Having a good Pace & tonality If you speak really slow or really fast, people will have trouble following you. Awareness about the pace in mind when we converse with others is very important. Explain things easily Don’t expect everyone to be an expert in the subject you are speaking about, use simple words & go from one scenario to another slowly. Being straightforward & honest Everybody loves a person which is genuine & who speaks honestly. Don’t try to hide any details, instead be honest about it even it if puts you in a bad position – people admire that.   4. 4. Tone The overall quality of a vocal sound created during a communication process. Tone underscores the emotion in the speaker’s voice. The tone in a person’s voice is a mirror to his emotions. Tonality is often evidence of either the gap or correlation between the words that one uses and what one actually feels. Pitch The quality of a sound governed by the rate of vibrations producing it; the degree of highness or lowness of a tone. The frequency at which we speak, that is, high or low. Our pitch is an indicator of the degree in sound and is not influenced or affected by changes in volume. Volume or Loudness Sound Loudness is a subjective term describing the strength of the ear’s perception of a sound Clarity Sound clarity is defined as the accuracy; enjoy ability or intelligibility of sound that has been created during a verbal communication. Words It is the perfect usage and the formation of words in a sentence formation. Modulation It is the process of using the tone, pitch, volume and other aspects of communication and thereby to create a proper sound which is audible, accurate and amicable. Emotions Any of the particular feelings that characterize such a state of mind, such as joy, anger, love, hate, horror, etc. Accent A distinctive mode of pronunciation of a language which is associated with a particular nation, locality, or social class.
