  13. 13. Challenges Nationwide 14.2% of Native American households have no access to electricity. Arizona accounts for more than half of the households without electricity. Nine Tribes in Arizona have significant number of homes without electricity. Necessary distribution systems are not in place to provide grid-connected power to these households.   14. 14. Conclusion Seed sustainable tribal and rural cooperative solar program. Assist tribal community colleges, trade schools, and high school technical programs. Develop skilled workers. Lead to large sustainable market for solar with tribal utility authority Improve health and safety.
