- 09/30/11 But think about the barriers in our way today. Business wants to grow and to do that they have goals they need to achieve – within the context of the new landscape we’ve talked about. Yet IT is constrained traditional computing models. How can we continue to spend the time, effort and dollars on the things on the right when we have to meet today’s need? We are also influenced by the digital generation – the consumerization of information technology has transformed us to a world where IT is becoming the fabric of how business and people interact – it is almost becoming transparent. New generation will just assume IT is a part of their lives. This adds new dimensions to the equation. We now must think about mobile and what that means for business to enterprise and business to consumer interactions. Social networks aren’t just about individuals – social business is significantly impacting how we related to customers and other businesses. Users are consuming and creating their own functionality – requiring significantly more elasticity and driving an huge acceleration in the iteration of solutions far beyond traditional demand cycles.
