Background <ul><li>The GIS LT agreed in their May 2011 summit to hand out a “Top Team Trophy” as recognition and award for top performance or achievement in any dimension of GIS responsibilities </li></ul><ul><li>GIS Team Trophy Competition program is supplementary to the Significant Contribution Recognition (SCR), aiming to recognise and award teams </li></ul><ul><li>The LT believes that the EAC would be the best positioned to define and agree on the necessary selection criteria and to drive the selection process </li></ul>

Objectives <ul><li>The “GIS Team Trophy Competition” is a global recognition program designed to drive and recognize </li></ul><ul><ul><li>exceptional performance, extraordinary efforts and commitment to GIS’s overall success </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>behaviour that supports customer centricity, operational transformation, people management, organizational agility and financial discipline </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>fresh ideas, lateral thinking and achievement of significant milestones </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Recognition as a “GIS Top Team” is intended also to drive friendly competition among GIS employees in support of GIS’s strategic objectives </li></ul>

The “Team Trophy Competition ” Cycle Trophy Room on SharePoint <ul><li>Initiation </li></ul><ul><li>The EAC will initiate the nomination cycle </li></ul><ul><li>3 Cycles per Year </li></ul>1 <ul><li>Nomination </li></ul><ul><li>Every GIS Member can nominate a Team </li></ul><ul><li>Issue Nomination Form </li></ul><ul><li>Posted on SharePoint </li></ul>2 <ul><li>Selection </li></ul><ul><li>Nomination Assessed / Rated by EAC Members </li></ul><ul><li>Highest Score wins </li></ul><ul><li>Criteria's: Results-driven structure Standards of excellence Teamwork Innovation (stakeholder) </li></ul>3 <ul><li>Recognition </li></ul><ul><li>• Personal Congratulatory letter from CITO / CISO </li></ul><ul><li>GIT / GIS wide recognition though newsletter, all hands etc. </li></ul><ul><li>GIS Intranet </li></ul><ul><li>The GIS Leadership Team will decide on possible material incentive </li></ul>4

Eligibility <ul><li>Top Teams may come from any parts of the GIS organization which have achieved major milestones on projects with proven, tangible results </li></ul><ul><li>Only teams can be nominated, employee recognition is driven through Significant Contribution Recognition (SCR) </li></ul><ul><li>The GIS LT and the GIS Extended LT, as teams, are out of scope </li></ul>

Selection criteria’s <ul><li>Selection criteria for identifying Top Teams cover both results and behaviours </li></ul><ul><li>Achievements that will be recognized must be measurable and tangible with definite benefits. They can fall into any of the following strategic categories: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Results-driven structure - every member of the team knows what his/her responsibilities are and is fully committed towards achieving the team’s objectives. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Standards of excellence – the team must have a climate of trust and openness, cultivate a sense of ownership and accountability and act with urgency. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Teamwork – the team fosters team environment within GIS overall – not just within the team that is being nominated. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Innovation – the team values the diversity of ideas, methods, experiences and opinions; is able to think out of the box and foster creativity; brings positive changes in regards to efficiency and productivity. </li></ul></ul>
