Before I get into my campaign I would like to tell you of a couple tragedies in my family due to drunk driving. My Aunt on my father’s side. Had a 13 year old daughter name Christine and a 16 year old son James. They went out for a movie and some food on a Friday night with a friend. The friend who was 17 was driving, Her 16 year old son James in the passenger seat, her 14 year old daughter, Christine in the back seat, and their 17 year old friend driving. They all had their seat belts on, and a drunk driver crossed over, and hit them head on. They all had seat belts on, they all died on impact. My father's youngest sister was gunned down in the street in front of her mother's home by her boyfriend at the age of 20. He was drunk and on other drugs, but he drove his truck to her mother's home. If he couldn't have drove drunk it could have been another life saved. My point is not to upset anyone. From my experience, people see drunk driving as innocent. I just want people to understand the true severity of driving drunk; and the true reality of it.
