  2. 2. A paint thickness reading is taken on recycled part to determine if additional paint steps are necessary .
  3. 3. Remove latch assembly from used deck lid. Latch Assembly
  4. 4. Remove hinges from recycled deck lid. Deck Lid Hinge
  5. 5. Remove rubber deck lid stoppers. Deck Lid Stopper
  6. 6. Remove tail lamps from recycled deck lid. Tail Lamp
  7. 7. Remove lock cylinder from recycled deck lid. Lock Cylinder
  8. 8. Remove outside handle from recycled deck lid. Outside Handle
  9. 9. Remove license lights from recycled deck lid. License Lights
  10. 10. Remove Honda emblem from recycled deck lid. Honda Emblem
  11. 11. Sand the outside of the recycled deck lid with 500 dry grit sandpaper.
  12. 12. Inspection after the recycled deck lid was sanded, revealed a scratch that would have to be repaired. Scratch in the paint
  13. 13. Sand the scratch with 320 Grit Dry sandpaper. Repaired Scratch 320 Grit Dry Sandpaper
  14. 14. Sand scratch repair with 500 grit. Sand used deck lid with 600 grit dry or 800 grit wet.
  15. 15. Mask off NHTSA tag.
  16. 16. Sand the underside of the recycled deck lid with a “scotch brite”.
  17. 17. A spray out card is made to check the tint on the color. Spray Out Card
  18. 18. Check spray out card with vehicle. Correct tint if needed. Spray Out Card
  19. 19. Apply sealer to repaired area of recycled deck lid. Sealer
