  24. 24. AUDI A3 ‘07 > ’08 A4 ’08 > SERVICE RESET Dashboard with info display This function allows to reset the Service Reminder for Dashboard with Multifunction Display. Values are set back to default, so the reminder will come back again when its time will come, following the manufacturer specs. Please NOTE : this procedure does NOT change the maintenance system settings ( long life to standard or viceversa ). Please refer to “Service Setting in time/distance” and/or “Long Life setting” help (available under “Dashboard” diagnostic), if you intend to CHANGE the Maintenance Program ( according to the manufacturer specs ). Special procedures

AUDI A6 3.0 V6 TDI ENGINE MANAGEMENT (BMK) Diesel Particle Filter Regeneration In case of DPF warning lamp ON or faults relating to the DPF, through this procedure it will be possible to “force” the Particle Filter Regeneration. Please note that when operating, this procedure will cause very high temperature, and it is mandatory to have the exaust pipe free by any occlusion or damages. The engine must be ready at the operating temperature (over 70°C). WARNING : Do not leave the vehicle on an inflammable surface ! (like dried grass or leaves, wet floor by fuel or lubricants, etc.) Special procedures
  26. 26. AUDI A6 XENON LIGHTS ECU Coding The Xenon Light headlamps are equipped by an individual ECU each one, that manages the power of light / power supply . In case of replacing one or both Headlamp, it is necessary to proceed with CODING function, available under this option. Special procedures
  27. 27. AUDI A6 3.0 XENON LIGHTS Beam setting <ul><li>This function allows the manual beam setting, when needed, in vehicles equipped by Xenon lights, avoiding the ECU intervention while adjusting beams by screws. </li></ul><ul><li>Some conditions are required BEFORE starting the procedure: </li></ul><ul><li>Vehicle placed on a flat surface </li></ul><ul><li>Handbrake released </li></ul><ul><li>Gearbox in Neutral position or N </li></ul><ul><li>Steering wheel in the middle </li></ul><ul><li>no any load or person on the vehicle, ‘cause this procedure will automatically reset the suspension level sensors values </li></ul><ul><li>Low beam lights ON </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><li>WARNING ! </li></ul><ul><li>During the procedure, DO NOT MOVE the vehicle. </li></ul><ul><li>Set the correct beam level by using the proper adjusters on the headlamps. </li></ul>Special procedures

During the procedure, take care about the hydraulic fluid level inside the brake fluid reservoir, and refill it in case of need. CHRYSLER 300c ENGINE MANAGEMENT 3.0 V6 Diesel Diesel Particle Filter Regeneration This procedure allows to “force” the DPF regeneration, and must be performed in case of DPF warning Lamp ON, that means decreasing performances or problems that concerns the Diesel Particle Filter. During the procedure, the engine RPM will raise up; when the engine will come back to idle it means “procedure completed”. WARNING: Please note that when operating, this procedure will cause very high temperature, and it is mandatory to have the exaust pipe free by any occlusion or damages. Do not walk or stay near the vehicle exaust pipe, and be carefull to place properly the exausts extraction system ! Special procedures

Those changements are due to the standard use or part replacements; the ECU will “ learn “ and “store” the actual situation and will act in order to those values (rpm signal, A/C, fan working mode, brake and gear mode), by adapting the basic map. The following steps must be respected: - Engine temp over 70°C; - A/C OFF Once started the function, proceed on the road or road simulator as per the following: - by 3rd speed set ( in case of A/T selector on 3 ) accelerate softly over 3500 RPM, then release - repeat it until the item “ RPM adaptation completed” will indicates “YES”. Fan intervention setting Vehicles of last generation have the fan management through ENGINE ECU, that refers directly to the engine temperature sensor to do it. The fan intervention point can be changed by choosing a correction factor that will start fan in advance (or in late), relating to the ECU standard program. During the procedure, the correction value in °C will be shown. Example: If the fun intervention is set at 100°C by default, when 5°C is set, fun intervention point will be at 95°C. Once started the procedure, just press the dedicated keys to increase or decrease the value, then “V” key to store it or “X” to set the value back to default. N.B.: Usually the default value is 0°C. Torque Converter exclusion clutch adaptation: from 3rd speed This procedure allows the adaptation of the torque converter exclusion clutch, starting from 3rd gear speed. Through this, the ECU can manage in the optimal way the injection time according to the new injectors and the actual engine status. Usually the codes are supplied with the injectors, but in any case printed on each Injector’s body. Choose the cylinder where the injector has been replaced and then, after the stored code is displayed, confirm and introduce the new one. Avoiding any engine damage, please check first the Engine oil level. In case of emergency, or to stop the forced rigeneration, just push twice briefly ( less than 3 seconds) the START button. To know if the Coding was done successfully, just leave the diagnosis, them come back and check under “ info ECU”. If attempting by using a wrong code, the message “Faulty procedure” will be shown.
