Dated: 21-03-2010 CRIME BRANCH : PRESS RELEASE • TWO NOTORIOUS ROBBERS AND A RECEIVER ARRESTED BY CRIME BRANCH • TWO SENSATIONAL ROBBERIES INCLUDING ROBBERY AT THE HOUSE OF A SENIOR CITIZEN COUPLE AND ANOTHER AT THE SHOP OF A JEWELLER WORKED OUT • WANTED IN 2 MORE CASES OF HOUSE/SHOP ROBBERIES • ONE JEWELLER ARRESTED FOR RECEIVING LOOTED JEWELLERY • ARMS, AMMUNITION AND SOME JEWELLERY ARTICLES RECOVERED The Special Operations Squad, Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested two notorious robbers involved in a number of armed house robberies committed in several areas of Delhi over the past two years. The jeweller to whom they had sold some of the looted jewellery has also been arrested. Two illicit firearms, ammunition and some jewellery articles have been recovered from the arrested persons. Their details are as below: (1) Jai Ram @ Sri Ram @ Surinder s/o Nani Singh r/o Gali No. 4 Din Dayal Puri, Delhi aged 31 Yrs, (2) Manoj Srivastava s/o Balak Ram r/o J-76 Dilshad Vihar Colony, Dilshad Garden, Delhi aged 28 Yrs (3) Manoj Verma s/o Ram Ratan Verma r/o B-40/6 Pradhan Wali Gali Johri Pur, Delhi aged 28 Yrs (receiver) Ct. Devender Kumar of Special Operations Squad had received information that two desperate criminals namely Sri Ram and Manoj, who are wanted in several cases of robberies committed at gun point, would be coming to meet their associates at Millennium Park on 19-3-2010 at about 4 PM. On this information, a team led by Inspector K.P. Singh and consisting of SIs P.C.Yadav, Sukhbir Malik, Rajender Singh, ASI Ravinder Singh, HC’s Narender, Mahak Singh, Omvir Tyagi, Ragender Cts Devender, Ct Vikal Singh, Ct Naresh under the overall supervision of Sh. Udai Vir Singh Rathi, ACP/SOS, Crime Branch was constituted and a trap was laid near Millennium Park. At about 4 PM, the said Sri Ram and Manoj came there on a motorcycle and they were apprehended by the Crime Branch team. During their search, 2 illicit pistols and four rounds of ammunition were recovered from them. Soon, their accomplice also arrived and he too was apprehended. He was later identified as Manoj Verma who has a jewellery shop in the Trans-Yamuna area. During interrogation, it has been revealed that accused Manoj Srivastava and Sri Ram are school drop outs. Accused Manoj is previously involved in 6 cases of robbery in Delhi, Gurgaon and Jaipur. Accused Sri Ram is previously involved in three criminal cases. Receiver Manoj Verma has been arrested for the first time

Interrogation further revealed that in October 2008, Manoj Srivastava and Sri Ram went to the Mukherjee Nagar area with their associates Salman, Pratap, Irfan, Dharmender, Jamil, Amit and others and they barged into the house of a senior citizen couple. The couple also had their infant grand son with them. Manoj snatched the baby from the couple and put a knife to the neck of the baby while his associates robbed jewellery worth Rs. 2.5-3 lacs and cash Rs.25,000/- at gun point. A case FIR No. 370/08 u/s 392/397/34 IPC was registered at PS Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi. No one had been arrested in this case till date. In the month of February 2009, both Manoj and Sri Ram went to the area of PS Gandhi Nagar, Delhi along with their associates Dharmender, Salman and Ashfaq. They entered a jewellery shop and robbed approximately 250 gms. gold. The house of the jeweller was on the second floor of the same building and the accused persons went upstairs and robbed approximately 200 gm gold from the house of the jeweller. A FIR No. 32/09 u/s 392/397/34 IPC was registered at PS- Gandhi Nagar, Delhi. Then, in the month of December 2009, Manoj along with his associates Dharmender, Amit, and Jamil went to a dental clinic in Bhanjan Pura, Delhi. One of them approached the dentist as a patient. Soon after, his other associates also entered the clinic and looted the doctor of his cash and mobile phones at gun point. A case FIR No. 553/09 u/s 327/506/34 IPC was registered at PS Bhajan Pura,Delhi. In the month of February 2010, Manoj along with his associates Dharmender, Jamil, Amit entered an electric appliance shop in the area of Dilshad Garden, Delhi. They tried to rob the shopkeeper but the shopkeeper raised an alarm. Some shopkeepers from the vicinity came to help him and the accused persons had to flee away from the spot. However, Jamil was apprehended at the spot. During interrogation, it has been revealed that the accused persons used to sell the looted jewellery to Manoj Verma r/o Johar Pur,Delhi, who runs a jewellery shop in the area of Jauhar Pur, Delhi. Manoj Verma has also been arrested and one chain and a pair of tops robbed from the jeweler of Gandhi Nagar have been recovered from him. Accused persons have been arrested vide FIR No. 33/10 u/s 25 Arms Act & 411 IPC PS Crime Branch, Delhi and the concerned Police Stations have been informed accordingly. Addl. INCIDENT On dated 18/03/2010, one Fateh Mohammad Village – Dalawas, PS-Tawdu, Distt: Mewat, Haryana along with two other persons Sher Mohammad and Abbas who are also resident of Mewat lodged the complaint with the Police Station, Hauz Khas that one Mohd. Hussain along with Shakeel had induced them to go abroad at Saudi Arabia for arranging them with a handsome job and lucrative package of salary. They demanded Rs. 90,000/- each from all the three complainant victims with the assurances to arrange visa for Saudi Arabia. These unsuspecting gullible victims fell in their trap and accordingly handed them over Rs. 30,000 each along with their passport and driving license. They further told them that they had good rapport with Nice travel agency who are involved in Manpower Business. Next day, all the three victims were called at Masjid Moth for going through their medical examination at Gulshan Medical Centre. After their medical examination, the alleged wrested 60,000/- balanced amount from all the three complainants and handed them over the photocopy of visas by giving them direction to remain prepared for going to Saudi Arabia. Even after waiting for 3-4 months they did not get any satisfactory reply from the alleged person regarding plans of sending them to Saudi Arabia. And even they started avoiding them one or other pretext. On this they got suspicious and conducted inquiry in this matter, then they came to know that no such visa has been stamped. Accordingly they lodged a complaint and a case FIR No. 105/2010 u/s 420, 406/120B IPC was registered at Police Station, Hauz Khas and the investigation was taken up. Similarly 6 other person approached Police Station, Hauz Khas with a similar complaints and two more FIRs were registered at Police Station, Hauz Khas.

INVESTIGATION AND INTERROGATION: In view of the large number of complaints and illegal human trafficking, a dedicated team of Police Officer consisting of Inspector Atul Kumar, SHO/Hauz Khas, Inspector Rajeev, HC Islamuddin, HC Hukum Chand, Constable Kishore, Constable Kaushar, Constable Vinod Tiwari under the supervision of ACP Hauz Khas Shri Mehar Singh was constituted and the police team started collecting intelligence and information about the movement above these two alleged person. Thereafter, police team received the information that one of the accused Mehboob Hussain will visit Masjid Moth in connection with arranging date for medical examination of few other probable victims. Thus, the police team laid a trap and one person Mehboob Hussain S/o: Fajruddin was arrested from the area on 18/03/2010 at around 9:00 pm. Above mention accused was subjected to the sustained interrogation and he disclosed that he had taken a room on rental basis in Giri Nagar, Kalkaji Area, where he used to bring the unsuspecting innocent gullible persons, who were looking for getting a job opportunity at Saudi Arabia. He along with Shakeel used to persuade these people by presenting them with a rosy picture and getting attractive salary. Accordingly these persons used to fall in his trap. The accused person charged Rs. 90,000/- each from these victims. He had further disclosed that he acquired this idea as he had worked in close liaison with various manpower agencies in the area of Jamia and Sarai Jullena. He used to contact Nice Travel situated at Sarai Jullena and then brought the people to his house with assurances to arrange visa through Nice Travel Agency. He and Shakeel used to share the ill-gotten gains between themselves. So far, he has duped more than 100 people. Recently few persons are returned from Saudi Arabia without getting a job even after staying 2-3 months there.
  6. 6. He further disclosed that about 50 passports and few photocopies of visa are lying in his room at Giri Nagar. Police Team raided that place and got recovered 46 passports along with 6 photocopies of VISA of different people. Cash Rupees 3,05000/- (Three Lakhs Five Thousand) had also been recovered from his house. PROFILE: Accused Mehboob Hussain S/o: Fajruddin R/o: DIstt: Palwal, Mewat, Haryana had studied upto Class 10th from Haryana. He is having 2 brothers and 3 sisters. During his young days he came in contact with Shakeel who also hails from same village. Being permanent resident of Mewat he knew that most of the skilled worker in the Mewat Region obtained passport with a dream for going abroad to Middle East in search of good salary. He often worked as Middle Man, who can arrange their visa through some company for sending them to abroad. Accordingly he developed his relationship with Nice Travel Agency and started motivating people with a false promises of sending them to abroad by promising them a good salary. RECOVERIES: 1. 46 Passports 2. 6 photocopy of Visa of different people 3. Cash Rupees 3,05000/- (Three Lakhs Five Thousand) The accused has been obtained on 7 days on police Custody remand for further finding out the extent of interested ramification and involvement

(H G S Dhaliwal) IPS Deputy Commissioner of Police, South District DATED : 21.03.2010 GANG OF NOTORIOUS INTERSTATE AUTOLIFTERS BUSTED: THREE ARRESTED : 15 STOLEN MOTORCYCLES RECOVERED South District Police has arrested three members of an interstate gang of auto lifters, who were involved in several cases of auto lifting of vehicles in various parts of Delhi and NCR. With their arrest, 30 cases of M.V. Thefts have been solved and 15 stolen motorcycles have been recovered. ACCUSED ARRESTED: 1. (Receiver) INCIDENT, TEAM AND ARREST In the recent past, there has been sudden increase of auto lifting cases in all over Delhi and NCR. In order to prevent these incidents and to nab criminals involved in these cases, several teams were constituted. A team consisting of Inspr. Aishvir Singh, ATO/PS Malviya Nagar, ASI Rambhool Singh, HCs Manohar, Suresh, Rajender,Sanjeev,Rama Krishna Constables. Sanej, Manmohan, Jai Kumar, Raj Kumar,Ritesh,Sandeep, Deepak & Rajkumar under the supervision of Inspr. Jarnail Singh, SHO/Malviya Nagar and Sh. Mehar Singh, ACP/Hauz Khas was formed. The team so formed worked relentlessly and collected details of several criminals with similar modus-operandi and activated their secret informers to collect the information about the criminals involved in these incidents. These details were analysed minutely and the hard work of team bore results when a specific information was received that on 15.03.2010 that criminals involved in these incidents of M.V. thefts would visit Malviya Nagar in order to commit a crime. As per information, the team laid a trap and apprehended both the above mentioned accused Mohd. Fazal and Rifaqat Ali from Khirki Extn. behind Hauz Rani, Malviya Nagar. On verification, the Bajaj Discover motorcycle No. DL-3SAL-9137 on which they were riding was found stolen by them from the area of Khirki Extn. Malviya Nagar and a case in this regard was found to be registered vide FIR No. 435/09 u/s 379 IPC at PS Malviya Nagar. Immediately a team rushed to Chandausi Distt. Moradabad (U.P.) and apprehended third accused Sakil Ahmad who used to receive and dispose off the stolen motorcycles. INTERROGATION, MODUS-OPERANDI The sustained interrogation of all the three accused persons led to working out of 30 cases of M.V. Thefts of Police Stations K.M. Pur, Malviya Nagar, Hauz Khas, Jagat Puri and Ambedkar Nagar. At their instance, 15 stolen motorcycles have been recovered from different parts of Delhi and as well as from the areas nearby to their native places. All the accused persons have earlier worked as drivers and are experts in breaking open the lock and ignition switch off vehicles with the help of a self manufactured special instrument. Further, they have also developed friendship with their colleagues drivers working at various taxi stands and other places. They are also experts in erasing the engine and chassis numbers of the stolen vehicles and emboss new fake Nos. After preparing forged documents, they used to sell the stolen vehicles to various receivers.

He has studied up to 5th class and started committing crime. He has also previously been arrested in 2008 u/s 379/411 IPC PS Thakurdwara, Moradabad , (U.P.) Sakil Ahmad is married and has studied up to 5th class. He is a habitual receiver of stolen vehicles and expert in making forge documents and disposal of stolen vehicle. South Distt 21.03.2010 A NOTORIOUS PIMP WHO BECAME A CHEATER AND USED FAKE DEMAND DRAFT TO BUY LUXURIOUS CARS FROM INNOCENT PERSONS ARRESTED: FOUR LUXURY CAR INCLUDING MERCEDES E-CLASS, HONDA CIVIC, SKODA LAURA AND TATA SAFARI RECOVERED TILL NOW. South District Police has arrested a notorious pimp namely Ankit Dhir @ Alok Kumar @ Ashok S/O Pankaj Dhir R/O C-31, main road, Kalkaji, Delhi present add. HN K-86A, New Mahabir nagar Delhi who became cheater and used fake demand draft for purchasing luxurious cars from innocent persons, and involved in several cases of cheating and vehicle theft in Delhi and NCR. With his arrest, one Mercedes E-class, one Honda Civic, one Skoda Laura and one Tata Safari, Computers, Printer and scanner have been recovered. INCIDENT & TEAM & ARREST In the recent past, several cases were reported all over Delhi and NCR in such cases after seeing advertisement of “ for sale of vehicle” in leading news papers buyer contact to the owner of the vehicle through cell phone and after negotiations when deal is settled that buyer gives the fake demand draft and take away the luxurious cars. Similar incident was happened on 14.04.2009 in which a person came to B-495, New friends colony and showed his interest in purchasing a TATA Safari after some negotiation the deal was fixed in four lakh fifty thousand. On 26.04.09 same person again came with one of his associate and handed over a demand draft of four lakhs fifty thousand of State Bank of India and took away the car. On next day when owner deposited the draft in bank, the bank officials declared the demand draft was fake. Some other incidents were also reported in other parts of city and NCR in which one Mercedes E-class, one Honda civic were taken away by the same modous operandi. The similar thing in all these incident is that every time the fake draft happens to be of State Bank of India and person involved in all incidents were also found to be the same . In order to prevent these incidents and nab the criminals involved in these cases, several teams were constituted. Raghubir, Subash, Shailender and Yashbir, under the supervision of Inspector Vijay Singh, I/C Special Staff and overall supervision of Sh Bal Krishna Sharma ACP/Operations was formed to further develop the information and apprehend the accused. The team worked relentlessly and collected details of several criminals with similar modus- operandi and particular area of operation. The mobile phone used in the conversation between complainant and accused person found immediately switched off after the commission of every crime. In such condition it was very difficult for police officers to catch the culprit. However the details received so far were analyse minutely and it came to fore that Ankit Dhir earlier arrested in several cases might be involved in these incidents. Secret informers were deployed to collect the information about the activities of above said criminal. The hard work of above team bore results and specific information was received on 14.03.2010 that Ankit Dhir @ Alok Kumar would go towards Muniraka via Safdarjung Enclave from ring road in a Tata Safari bearing Haryana registration no. for disposal of the vehicle. The team laid a trap on 14.03.2010 near AIIMS trauma center and started checking of vehicles coming from ring road side by putting barricades on the road. At around 6.15 P.M., a silver colour Tata Safari car coming from ring road side was signaled to stop and driver of the Tata Safari was apprehended and he was identified as Ankit Dhir @ Alok Kumar @ Ashok S/O Pankaj Dhir. He was asked to produce the documents of the vehicle, but he was unable to produce any document. On checking, the vehicles was found to be stolen by presenting false demand draft vide FIR no. 66/10 u/s 406 IPC PS New Friends Colony Delhi. The accused was arrested and his interrogation was taken up. INTERROGATION & PROFILE During the interrogation, it was revealed that earlier he was arrested in Jan. 2009 at Sahibabad link road police station while he was in possession of a stolen Honda Civic car which was stolen by him from Paschim Vihar Delhi after releasing from jail he started living in Sushant lok, Gurgaon and he again started preparing false demand drafts for fraudulently gaining luxury vehicles. He is very clever in using the mobile phones and every time he purchased a new sim card on fake identity and also purchased new mobile handset and after commission of crime he thrashed the sim card and the mobile set so that police may not track his movements. By using this M.O. he succeeded to get possession of 5-6 vehicles as disclosed by him, which may increase on further interrogation. his four day’s police custody reamend was obtained and during police custody remand he got recovered one Honda civic car cheated by him from the area of PS sector 40, Gurgaon Vide FIR no. 254/08. He had also disclosed about obtaining one Skoda Laura and one Mercedes car, which were left by him as abandoned in Noida (UP) and Etawha Distt. UP.

He studied up to class 10th in St. xavier School Prasad Nagar Delhi and did his 12th in 1998 from National open school. After that he got admission in prestigious college of Delhi University and completed his B.Com in 2001. During his college day’s he came in to contact with one Rajeev Virmani in 2000 who was the most famous pimp of flash trade in Delhi. He started working with him and he was so affluent in English and so clever that he became a well known face in the market of flesh trade. He formed his own gang and started giving advertisement in daily newspapers for providing escort service in 2003 he was arrested in Connaught place with one of his associates and two girls vide FIR no. 140/03 u/s 5/8 ITP Act PS Connaught place. After released from jail he became more desperate and reorganized his group again and started flash trading from farm houses. He hired more than fifty girls for prostitution and adopted a unique method for supply the girls that he purchased some wireless set and setup his own network and gives the direction to them on wireless set and they lest used mobile phones as they know that police might intercepted their mobile numbers. He again arrested with his associates and girls while he was operating a flash trade from a farm house of Vasant Kunj area vide FIR no. 293/04 u/s 3/4/5/6/8 ITP Act PS Vasant Kunj Delhi. After having been released from jail on bail he again started his previous business and became most powerful person of flesh trade, due to this he got enmity with one Sanjay Gupta @ Vikas and other persons. Sanjay Gupta @ Vikas were murdered by Bobby @ Chakka and his associates on the rivarly to hold the first position of this trade. After this incident bobby and his associates were arrested by the police and so called wife of Sanjay @ Akash namely Ritu @ Ritika came into contact with Ankit Dhir and both started prostitution and shifted their base to Noida. They both were arrested by the Noida police 266/05 u/s 3/5/6/7 ITP Act PS sector 20 Noida UP. He was again released from jai, on bail and again he started dealing in flesh trade on 16/6/05 he sent a girl for providing massage service but instead of giving massage the girl and the boy who accompanied her had snatched the mobile phone and other valuables by putting complainant in fear. After released from jail he change the trade as he had so many enemies in flesh trade and started making false demand drafts by scanning the original draft which he procured from the bank. The draft so procured from bank only two three hundreds but he scanned the draft and fill whatever amount he want to fill and gave the same to the innocent persons from whom he purchased the luxury cars and other items. The jeweller to whom they had sold some of the looted jewellery has also been arrested. Two illicit firearms, ammunition and some jewellery articles have been recovered from the arrested persons. Devender Kumar of Special Operations Squad had received information that two desperate criminals namely Sri Ram and Manoj, who are wanted in several cases of robberies committed at gun point, would be coming to meet their associates at Millennium Park on 19-3-2010 at about 4 PM. On this information, a team led by Inspector K.P. Singh and consisting of SIs P.C.Yadav, Sukhbir Malik, Rajender Singh, ASI Ravinder Singh, HC’s Narender, Mahak Singh, Omvir Tyagi, Ragender Cts Devender, Ct Vikal Singh, Ct Naresh under the overall supervision of Sh. At about 4 PM, the said Sri Ram and Manoj came there on a motorcycle and they were apprehended by the Crime Branch team. During their search, 2 illicit pistols and four rounds of ammunition were recovered from them. Soon, their accomplice also arrived and he too was apprehended. He was later identified as Manoj Verma who has a jewellery shop in the Trans-Yamuna area. During interrogation, it has been revealed that accused Manoj Srivastava and Sri Ram are school drop outs. Accused Manoj is previously involved in 6 cases of robbery in Delhi, Gurgaon and Jaipur. Accused Sri Ram is previously involved in three criminal cases. Receiver Manoj Verma has been arrested for the first time Interrogation further revealed that in October 2008, Manoj Srivastava and Sri Ram went to the Mukherjee Nagar area with their associates Salman, Pratap, Irfan, Dharmender, Jamil, Amit and others and they barged into the house of a senior citizen couple. The couple also had their infant grand son with them. Manoj snatched the baby from the couple and put a knife to the neck of the baby while his associates robbed jewellery worth Rs. 2.5-3 lacs and cash Rs.25,000/- at gun point. A case FIR No. 370/08 u/s 392/397/34 IPC was registered at PS Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi. No one had been arrested in this case till date. In the month of February 2009, both Manoj and Sri Ram went to the area of PS Gandhi Nagar, Delhi along with their associates Dharmender, Salman and Ashfaq. They entered a jewellery shop and robbed approximately 250 gms. gold. The house of the jeweller was on the second floor of the same building and the accused persons went upstairs and robbed approximately 200 gm gold from the house of the jeweller. A FIR No. 32/09 u/s 392/397/34 IPC was registered at PS- Gandhi Nagar, Delhi. Then, in the month of December 2009, Manoj along with his associates Dharmender, Amit, and Jamil went to a dental clinic in Bhanjan Pura, Delhi. One of them approached the dentist as a patient. In the month of February 2010, Manoj along with his associates Dharmender, Jamil, Amit entered an electric appliance shop in the area of Dilshad Garden, Delhi. They tried to rob the shopkeeper but the shopkeeper raised an alarm. Some shopkeepers from the vicinity came to help him and the accused persons had to flee away from the spot. However, Jamil was apprehended at the spot. With the arrest of one Mahboob Hussain S/o: Fajruddin Age 51 Years, r/o: Village – Pawsar, PS-Hatim, Distt: Palwat, Mewat, Haryana was arrested for sending people illegally abroad by portraying them with a rosy picture of earning attractive salary. With his arrest of Mahboob Hussain Police Station Hauz Khas of South District have busted a major racket involved in human trafficking gang by giving false promises to arrange them handsome salary and good job prospect at Saudi Arabia. INCIDENT On dated 18/03/2010, one Fateh Mohammad Village – Dalawas, PS-Tawdu, Distt: Mewat, Haryana along with two other persons Sher Mohammad and Abbas who are also resident of Mewat lodged the complaint with the Police Station, Hauz Khas that one Mohd. Hussain along with Shakeel had induced them to go abroad at Saudi Arabia for arranging them with a handsome job and lucrative package of salary. They demanded Rs. 90,000/- each from all the three complainant victims with the assurances to arrange visa for Saudi Arabia. These unsuspecting gullible victims fell in their trap and accordingly handed them over Rs. 30,000 each along with their passport and driving license. They further told them that they had good rapport with Nice travel agency who are involved in Manpower Business. Next day, all the three victims were called at Masjid Moth for going through their medical examination at Gulshan Medical Centre. After their medical examination, the alleged wrested 60,000/- balanced amount from all the three complainants and handed them over the photocopy of visas by giving them direction to remain prepared for going to Saudi Arabia. Even after waiting for 3-4 months they did not get any satisfactory reply from the alleged person regarding plans of sending them to Saudi Arabia. And even they started avoiding them one or other pretext. On this they got suspicious and conducted inquiry in this matter, then they came to know that no such visa has been stamped. Accordingly they lodged a complaint and a case FIR No. 105/2010 u/s 420, 406/120B IPC was registered at Police Station, Hauz Khas and the investigation was taken up. Similarly 6 other person approached Police Station, Hauz Khas with a similar complaints and two more FIRs were registered at Police Station, Hauz Khas.

INVESTIGATION AND INTERROGATION: In view of the large number of complaints and illegal human trafficking, a dedicated team of Police Officer consisting of Inspector Atul Kumar, SHO/Hauz Khas, Inspector Rajeev, HC Islamuddin, HC Hukum Chand, Constable Kishore, Constable Kaushar, Constable Vinod Tiwari under the supervision of ACP Hauz Khas Shri Mehar Singh was constituted and the police team started collecting intelligence and information about the movement above these two alleged person. Thereafter, police team received the information that one of the accused Mehboob Hussain will visit Masjid Moth in connection with arranging date for medical examination of few other probable victims. Thus, the police team laid a trap and one person Mehboob Hussain S/o: Fajruddin was arrested from the area on 18/03/2010 at around 9:00 pm. Above mention accused was subjected to the sustained interrogation and he disclosed that he had taken a room on rental basis in Giri Nagar, Kalkaji Area, where he used to bring the unsuspecting innocent gullible persons, who were looking for getting a job opportunity at Saudi Arabia. He along with Shakeel used to persuade these people by presenting them with a rosy picture and getting attractive salary. Accordingly these persons used to fall in his trap. The accused person charged Rs. 90,000/- each from these victims. He had further disclosed that he acquired this idea as he had worked in close liaison with various manpower agencies in the area of Jamia and Sarai Jullena. He used to contact Nice Travel situated at Sarai Jullena and then brought the people to his house with assurances to arrange visa through Nice Travel Agency. He and Shakeel used to share the ill-gotten gains between themselves. So far, he has duped more than 100 people. Recently few persons are returned from Saudi Arabia without getting a job even after staying 2-3 months there. He further disclosed that about 50 passports and few photocopies of visa are lying in his room at Giri Nagar. Police Team raided that place and got recovered 46 passports along with 6 photocopies of VISA of different people. He often worked as Middle Man, who can arrange their visa through some company for sending them to abroad. Accordingly he developed his relationship with Nice Travel Agency and started motivating people with a false promises of sending them to abroad by promising them a good salary. In order to prevent these incidents and to nab criminals involved in these cases, several teams were constituted. A team consisting of Inspr. Aishvir Singh, ATO/PS Malviya Nagar, ASI Rambhool Singh, HCs Manohar, Suresh, Rajender,Sanjeev,Rama Krishna Constables. The team so formed worked relentlessly and collected details of several criminals with similar modus-operandi and activated their secret informers to collect the information about the criminals involved in these incidents. These details were analysed minutely and the hard work of team bore results when a specific information was received that on 15.03.2010 that criminals involved in these incidents of M.V. thefts would visit Malviya Nagar in order to commit a crime. As per information, the team laid a trap and apprehended both the above mentioned accused Mohd. Fazal and Rifaqat Ali from Khirki Extn. behind Hauz Rani, Malviya Nagar. On verification, the Bajaj Discover motorcycle No. DL-3SAL-9137 on which they were riding was found stolen by them from the area of Khirki Extn. All the accused persons have earlier worked as drivers and are experts in breaking open the lock and ignition switch off vehicles with the help of a self manufactured special instrument. Further, they have also developed friendship with their colleagues drivers working at various taxi stands and other places. They are also experts in erasing the engine and chassis numbers of the stolen vehicles and emboss new fake Nos. After preparing forged documents, they used to sell the

Similar incident was happened on 14.04.2009 in which a person came to B-495, New friends colony and showed his interest in purchasing a TATA Safari after some negotiation the deal was fixed in four lakh fifty thousand. Some other incidents were also reported in other parts of city and NCR in which one Mercedes E-class, one Honda civic were taken away by the same modous operandi. The similar thing in all these incident is that every time the fake draft happens to be of State Bank of India and person involved in all incidents were also found to be the same . In order to prevent these incidents and nab the criminals involved in these cases, several teams were constituted. The team worked relentlessly and collected details of several criminals with similar modus- operandi and particular area of operation. The mobile phone used in the conversation between complainant and accused person found immediately switched off after the commission of every crime. In such condition it was very difficult for police officers to catch the culprit. However the details received so far were analyse minutely and it came to fore that Ankit Dhir earlier arrested in several cases might be involved in these incidents. Secret informers were deployed to collect the information about the activities of above said criminal. The hard work of above team bore results and specific information was received on 14.03.2010 that Ankit Dhir @ Alok Kumar would go towards Muniraka via Safdarjung Enclave from ring road in a Tata Safari bearing Haryana registration no. for disposal of the vehicle. The team laid a trap on 14.03.2010 near AIIMS trauma center and started checking of vehicles coming from ring road side by putting barricades on the road. At around 6.15 P.M., a silver colour Tata Safari car coming from ring road side was signaled to stop and driver of the Tata Safari was apprehended and he was identified as Ankit Dhir @ Alok Kumar @ Ashok S/O Pankaj Dhir. He was asked to produce the documents of the vehicle, but he was unable to produce any document. On checking, the vehicles was found to be stolen by presenting false demand draft vide FIR no. 66/10 u/s 406 IPC PS New Friends Colony Delhi. The accused was arrested and his interrogation was taken up. INTERROGATION & PROFILE During the interrogation, it was revealed that earlier he was arrested in Jan. 2009 at Sahibabad link road police station while he was in possession of a stolen Honda Civic car which was stolen by him from Paschim Vihar Delhi after releasing from jail he started living in Sushant lok, Gurgaon and he again started preparing false demand drafts for fraudulently gaining luxury vehicles. He is very clever in using the mobile phones and every time he purchased a new sim card on fake identity and also purchased new mobile handset and after commission of crime he thrashed the sim card and the mobile set so that police may not track his movements. By using this M.O. he succeeded to get possession of 5-6 vehicles as disclosed by him, which may increase on further interrogation. his four day’s police custody reamend was obtained and during police custody remand he got recovered one Honda civic car cheated by him from the area of PS sector 40, Gurgaon Vide FIR no. 254/08. He had also disclosed about obtaining one Skoda Laura and one Mercedes car, which were left by him as abandoned in Noida (UP) and Etawha Distt. UP. He hired more than fifty girls for prostitution and adopted a unique method for supply the girls that he purchased some wireless set and setup his own network and gives the direction to them on wireless set and they lest used mobile phones as they know that police might intercepted their mobile numbers. He again arrested with his associates and girls while he was operating a flash trade from a farm house of Vasant Kunj area vide FIR no. 293/04 u/s 3/4/5/6/8 ITP Act PS Vasant Kunj Delhi. After having been released from jail on bail he again started his previous business and became most powerful person of flesh trade, due to this he got enmity with one Sanjay Gupta @ Vikas and other persons. Sanjay Gupta @ Vikas were murdered by Bobby @ Chakka and his associates on the rivarly to hold the first position of this trade. After this incident bobby and his associates were arrested by the police and so called wife of Sanjay @ Akash namely Ritu @ Ritika came into contact with Ankit Dhir and both started prostitution and shifted their base to Noida. They both were arrested by the Noida police 266/05 u/s 3/5/6/7 ITP Act PS sector 20 Noida UP. He was again released from jai, on bail and again he started dealing in flesh trade on 16/6/05 he sent a girl for providing massage service but instead of giving massage the girl and the boy who accompanied her had snatched the mobile phone and other valuables by putting complainant in fear. Ankit Dhir and his associates were arrested vide FIR no. 288/05 u/s 382/34 IPC PS Sarita Vihar Delhi. After released from jail he change the trade as he had so many enemies in flesh trade and started making false demand drafts by scanning the original draft which he procured from the bank. The draft so procured from bank only two three hundreds but he scanned the draft and fill whatever amount he want to fill and gave the same to the innocent persons from whom he purchased the luxury cars and other items.
