This deck explains how customers can use the Hitachi Solutions Ecommerce web store to upload images of products they purchase, and how these can help the merchant generate reviews as well as market them.

Feature overview • Greater customer engagement and footfall - By sharing their product images, customers increase their engagement with your web store. Such customers bring in their friends and family to show off their images, in effect boosting sales through higher footfall and time spent browsing the web store. • Improve brand recognition - Customers who share their images are also likely to share the same on social media platforms, bringing in more people to your web store. Such customer generated publicity goes a long way in increasing brand recognition and customer loyalty. • Unique way to showcase customer reviews - Customer images of your product are treated as customer reviews, and highlight product features. Visual reviews are more exciting for a shopper and also add value to your product display page.

Setup feature configurations Upload permissions for guest users The Manager Panel allows the CSR to decide if he wants to allow guest customers to upload images on the web store. If he decides not to allow uploading of images, then the sharing product images feature will be disabled for guest customers. Permissions for registered customers The upload images feature is available to all registered customers. The CSR can set if these registered customers can upload images upon login, or after they have made their first purchase. Specify file extensions and size The Global Setup allows the CSR to specify the file types and the file size allowed for the customers when they upload images to the web store.
  5. 5. © Hitachi Solutions. 2015. All rights reserved. A customer adds images by clicking on the ‘’Share your own images” button on the product detail page. A pop-up is launched where the customer browses and uploads the image from his device. The image goes to the CSR for moderation. Customers can upload only those images that they own, or have permission to use, and those which do not violate any copyrights. Also, images that are illegal, obscene, offensive, pornographic, and ethnically or racially offensive should not be uploaded. Such images can be deleted by the CSR. Upload images

Details of each image such as image caption, description, uploaded by, uploaded on and number of likes and dislikes are shown. The product display page shows three images along with the link to all other customer images. Clicking on this link will direct the customer to a carousel like view of all customers’ images.   7. 7. © Hitachi Solutions. 2015. All rights reserved. The CSR sees all uploaded images in the Manager Panel, and approves or rejects them after reviewing them for quality. Once approved, the images are displayed on the web store on the respective product display page. Moderation ensures that quality standards for images displayed are maintained. Control images displayed online Delete ‘dislikes’ and comments The CSR can delete and thereby control the number of dislikes that are displayed on the web store for any particular image. He can also delete comments for an image through the Manager Panel. Moderate comments in the Manager Panel
