  • Does anyone know what transmedia is
  • Original movie Captures the audiences attention
  • Ppl behind the film release the animated short Has same characters as original film Protagonist jue ends up giving her life while trying to deliver and important letter Last moments of the short have jue placing the letter in a mailbox
  • Right after the animated short is the video game The first mission for the player is the retrieve the letter jue placed in the mailbox and deliver it to the heroes
  • After the video game comes the sequel film Opening scene of the film has the characters talking about the details of the letter
  • This is how transmedia is done. It tells an extended story using various forms that end up connecting to a future story. In this case its the film sequel
  • Mostly in film and television To keep audience interested, so like the Lost Franchise and the Star Wars franchise Used for global issues Make people more aware, like Collapsus (awareness about energy crisis) Used in marketing For branded content - Coca Cola Happiness Factory
