- Working with older people's groups to insulate homes and create "warm houses" for neighbours in need, and lobbying policy makers to include older people on their winter-crisis agendas.
- Pakistan floods, Colombia’s conflict, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Darfur, Kyrgyzstan, and Occupied Palestinian Territories to support older men and women affected by natural disasters and conflict. Humanitarian policy work ensures that older are included in humanitarian relief efforts.
- Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa and Ethiopia.
- We're demanding action to protect older people’s rights and helping them access their entitlements HelpAge International believes the time has come for an international convention on the rights of older people.
- We passionately support social protection for people in the developing world - whether in the form of cash payments, such as pensions, or insurance
- Access to decent work is a fundamental human right, which promotes sustainable development and poverty eradication. We want all older people to have a regular and predictable income, and for their workers' rights to be recognised.
