2. Before you Start
Remember to use keywords.
Not only will the page then achieve a higher position in relevant site
searches but people will know what the page is about. Headlines like
‘Look what’s new’ might hook people in when published in print, but will
do you no favours online. Think about which words your potential
customers are most likely to be searching for, and include those words
in your introductory paragraph and title (as these are the places the
search engine will look.) Good example of key words include valve, the
name of your company, monitoring, water treatment, etc.
Advertise one product, or product line, per page.
The site search and normal Google searches order pages by relevance,
concentrating mainly on the title and first paragraph of a product page. If
there are details of widely different products then the search tool will
assume your page is less relevant. Also a site user may dismiss your
page as an advert instead of a useful product entry if it appears as a
catalogue of all your company’s products.

7. Never leave a product page blank.
Product pages are bought for a year. If you’ve bought
product pages, this year begins from when you buy
the space, not from when you decide to put some
copy onto the page. An un-used product page,
therefore, is money down the drain.
A product page is editable.
