Electricity consumption causes environmental impacts such as
greenhouse gas emissions. If one is responsible for environmental impacts
of the electricity consumption, how should the impacts be allocated?
In this study, we introduce a method of environmental impacts allocation.
At first, we use life cycle assessment to estimate the total greenhouse gas
emissions of electric power system. Then, we apply network analysis to
calculate the comprehensive system load of electric power system for
each user. Finally, the environmental impacts of each user are calculated
considering both transmission distance and the amount of consumption.
