Content analysis types

Content analysis is a method of qualitative research that has risen in popularity since the 1950s, when it began as a post-WW2 technique to analyze propaganda and mass media. This method works by translating components of text, or other forms of content, into data variables that can be placed on ordinal, nominal and interval scales for statistical analysis. This infographic, designed by my co-author Karen Lynden, reviews the specifics of what types of content can be analyzed.
